2023 was a wonderful year with so many awesome visits from you 😀❤️ i hope everyone had a peaceful and joyous holiday season. ❤️

With the new year now here, it’s time to think about grooming schedules for the 2024 year/months ahead☺️ the spaw is officially back open tomorrow, January 2.

This time of year is a great time to get ahead of the dirty spring coats/shedding ahead of us 🫶 with this weather it is easy for your pups coat to get more tangled or impacted with the wet conditions and changes in temp!

It’s so wonderful to come into work everyday & see you guys and be able to pamper your baby🫶

As fall temperatures are here, as are the risks of flea and ticks for pets that are spending more time outdoors. 🧡

As dog parents, we know that our furry companions love to explore. Whether it’s running through tall grass, playing in the park, or just enjoying a leisurely walk, these outdoor adventures are part of what makes life enjoyable for them. However, these activities can sometimes lead to unwanted encounters with pesky parasites such as fleas and ticks.

Regular grooming & daily brushing can help you to scan your pups coat. A comb with both narrow and wide teeth works well for everyday detangling and can help catch pests early on. For double-coated dog breeds, pet owners can try a fine tooth deshedding rake to remove excess fur that could hide fleas and ticks!😀

Please make sure you are checking your pup before bringing to your next appt 🫶😀

Signs of Ticks: A small, dark bump in a pet’s coat or skin may be a tick.

Signs of Fleas: These tiny pests leave pets itchy, so pet owners should be aware of any unexpected scratching patterns. Flea dirt, which looks like black pepper, is visible to the naked eye. It can be found scattered in the pet’s fur, though it may be closer to the skin on longhaired pets. Pet owners should pay close attention to the belly, tail and groin area for signs of fleas.

Always check your pup before your grooming a moly but especially in the evening or am when you are cuddling or doing your brushing routine!💅🏼🫶

Dealing with Fleas
* Immediate Action: Begin by bathing your dog with a flea shampoo. This will kill most of the fleas and make them easier to spot. Follow the bath with a thorough comb-out using a fine-toothed flea comb. Dispose of any fleas in soapy water.
* Vet Consultation: Contact your vet for further treatment advice. They may recommend a variety of treatments including oral medication, spot-on treatments, or creams that can kill the fleas and prevent future infestations. Some people choose to go right to a local pet store for over counter prevention.
* Home Cleaning: Fleas can infest your home as well as your pet. Vacuum thoroughly, focusing on areas where your dog spends the most time. Wash all pet bedding and any soft furnishings the pet has been in contact with in hot water.
