Callisto (top left), Joxer (top right), Xena (bottom left), and Gabrielle (bottom right) are looking for fosters! 🐶 These pups are 9 weeks old and are shih tzu German shepherd mixes who would need to be fostered in pairs to help their social development. Double the cuteness! 😍

Little Lottie’s surgery was successful and she can open her mouth now!! Her foster mom now says she is public enemy #1 as she is chewing on everything. This little kitten is making up for lost time. 😂

Our hearts are full today for Bea!! Our friends at Puppy In My Pocket Dog Grooming groomed Bea today to help get out all the mats and nastiness that was in her fur. (We suspect a nesting bird was in there also!) She even got a sweet blue bow!

Thank you to the amazing Leni for making Bea feel so much better and look even more adorable.

Bea is available for adoption and loves all dogs.

🐶 We are looking for fosters for Campanita (left) and Pancholin (right) who will be arriving February 20th!

🐾 Campanita is a 9 year old female chihuahua fox terrier mix weighing in at a whopping 5kg. Good with dogs and kids, Campanita is a sweet old soul. She doesn’t feel the need to bark her presence, her quiet demeanour speaks louder than words ever could.

🐾 Pancholin is a 7 year old male chihuahua fox terrier mix also weighing 5kg. He is good with dogs and kids and is a pro on the leash who loves exploring, although he won’t say no to a good snuggle…

Look who is off to his forever home today. This big fella Dino is moving to Edmonton and his people today. He looks mighty pleased with himself.

After a very rough adult dog neuter and some razor burns from removing mats, we were a bit worried about his temperament. But in reality this big guy gives very clear signs he is not comfortable and landing him with a respectful and educated foster helped him through his rough days.

Thank you to his foster mom for being amazing. You know who you are! DG.

Show us your toe beans!! How can you be anything less than grinning ear to ear on a Toe Bean Tuesday!?

Pepper’s gnome like toe beans visited us on Sunday at PetValu Riverbend during our nail trim event as our first customer. Pepper was a picture perfect client and yes, his fur is super silky!

Thank you to all who came and helped us raise $661 for our rescue. We are so thankful for our partnership with our Riverbend friends!

🌛 Midnight....the moment when one day ends and the next begins. Loyal and wise, Midnight, has a seasoned soul that has seen much in her 8 years. Midnight is a medium sized gal that loves to chill and watch Netflix with her peeps as much as she loves to go walking!

⭐️ Midnight’s tale with FFARS started in remote Northern Manitoba when she suffered two broken legs. Her journey to Alberta was to meet an orthopaedic vet that helped repair both her front legs. 🐶 Despite her injuries she fought through a long recovery and now motors around with her 3 foster dog companions like a pup again! This old gal still has an incredible amount of s***k and zip in her step. Midnight has quite a bit of metal hardware in her front legs so she would not get through an airport security check very quickly! 🤣

💫 Midnight loves her snacks, does well with other larger dogs that are respectful of her boundaries. Midnight does best with children that are also dog savvy and know her boundaries. 🥰 Midnight would love to spend the second act of her life with you, snuggled up in bed with you.

Mekong’s Christmas wish did not come true in 2024. He had hoped for a home to call his own. 635 days he has been waiting. Sadly black cats do wait longer to be adopted. Mekong promises he is a very good boy and would love a low to medium energy home to call his own.
