🚨 URGENT FOSTERS NEEDED – CALGARY & SURROUNDING AREA 🚨

We are looking for foster homes for two dogs in urgent need. Fosters must reside in Calgary or the surrounding area for access to veterinary care and supplies.

Unfortunately, we’ve had a surge of requests to take in animals left out in the cold, and we are trying our best to help these two. They were found outside in the freezing temperatures…

Not tied.
Not sheltered.
Just waiting.

When help finally arrived:
• The female was barely responsive
• The male has frostbite on his nose

They are both improving now, but in order for them to safely come into our care, we must have foster homes ready.

Meet Winter (2) and Siku (1), likely mother and son.
Winter was just 36 lbs in September and has likely lost another ~10 lbs since then.

They are booked to come in today, but without fosters, there is nowhere for them to go.
We cannot save them without you.

FOSTER FOUND!

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED, PLEASE HELP US SAVE THIS ABANDONED GIRL

This sweet girl was abandoned and is in desperate need of a safe place to land.
We want to save her, but without a foster home, we simply can’t.

She’s a medium-sized pup, around 40 lbs, and a little timid at first, but once she feels safe, her gentle personality shines through. She just needs someone patient and kind to give her a chance.

Our rescue provides all the food, supplies, and vet care. We also provide behavioural support. We just ask you to provide the temporary home that makes her rescue possible.

We’re Looking for a Cat Foster Coordinator!

Our rescue is growing, and so is our need for compassionate, organized volunteers! We’re currently seeking a Cat Foster Coordinator to help support our foster homes and the kitties in our care.

About the Role:
The Cat Foster Coordinator will:
Serve as the main point of contact for our cat foster families
Help match incoming cats with appropriate foster homes
Provide support, guidance, and updates to fosters
Coordinate vet appointments, supplies, and intake needs
Communicate with our team to ensure every cat receives the care they need

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

Loves cats and understands their needs
Is organized, reliable, and great with communication
Can commit a few hours a week
Wants to make a real difference for animals in need

What You’ll Gain:
The joy of helping cats transition from rescue to forever homes
A supportive team and plenty of guidance
Valuable experience in animal welfare

This weekend we said goodbye to our long-term palliative foster Pancholin, better known as Poncho. Or Ponchie, Ponchie Wonchie, Ponchie Wonchie Squanchie Wonchers.

Poncho came to us in February, and shortly after his arrival was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. During the summer after a medical episode, his kidney disease had been escalated to stage 4 renal failure.

We would joke that he was the happiest and most active palliative dog you would ever meet. He loved to play with his toys, sunbathe on the deck for hours, and snuggle with his people. He loved to walk and adventure around the neighborhood.

Poncho was so incredibly loved by his fosters Robyn and Milan, and passed away in Robyn’s arms on Friday evening. He brought them unbelievable joy and laughs in the few short months they had with him.

For all of those who have donated to Poncho’s care, thank you. Your donations help us guarantee comfort and care to palliative animals. Though we had hoped we would have longer with Poncho, we are so thankful he was able to pass here, in comfort, with the people he loved and loved him in return.
