Great White North Pet Care is looking for a reliable individual to handle animal cage cleaning and laundry tasks at a rate of $17.40 per hour in Brookswood, Langley, BC. The position requires 2-6 hours per week, and candidates must have reliable transportation. This opportunity is open to individuals aged 16 and above who must have a passion for animals, pass a police check, and be legally eligible to work. We will begin conducting interviews immediately and hope to have the employee start by October 15 at the latest.
Laundry duties include sweeping, washing, and drying linens, towels, and other fabrics used in the care of the animals, as well as maintaining a clean and organized laundry area.
For cleaning guinea pig and rabbit cages, removing all bedding and waste, wiping down the surfaces with a pet-safe cleaner (white vinegar), disinfecting the cage, and changing or washing any fabric or bedding used in the cages. Additionally, it's important to clean food and water containers regularly and to ensure that the cages are well-ventilated. After cleaning is complete, the employee will be responsible for refilling all food and water dishes.
All training will be paid for and provided.
Only interacting with small animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits, etc
