This is a great example of how a pet's tooth can look healthy on the outside but hide severe dental disease underneath the gum line. The roots of this tooth were very diseased and the tooth needed to be extracted ASAP! This is why we never recommend anesthetic-free hand scaling as an alternative to a thorough dental examination and radiographic assessment by a veterinarian.

Thankfully this gorgeous pup is going to be feeling much better with that problem tooth out! 😁🦷

This is Diesel. He started coming to me for grooming just over a year ago. When he first started coming to me I could not get near him to pick him up off the floor. I didn't think I would even be able to do him at that first groom. The owner would have to put him on the table and then I could take him from there but never put him down. Even then he was still super nervous and unsure. At one point, because it stressed me so much grooming him, I asked the owner to find another groomer for him. But she sweet talked me into taking him one more time. Fast Forward several months, now when he comes in the door he runs right over to me and he will even jump up into my lap. He is still pretty nervous but at least trusts me enough to come to me and let me pick him up. I don't think I will ever be able to let my guard down completely with him but I'm glad I stuck it out for both Diesel and his owner.

That's it for this year. I am now off until Jan 9th.
Thank you to all my clients. I know I do not do show quality grooms but I do my best to make each one look the best I can along with keeping them comfortable while they are here.

For those of you looking for a new groomer unfortunately I can still no longer take on any new clients at this time. September is typically slower but that is not the case this year. I have heard a couple groomers in the area have retired, or quit, or are just cutting back. I took on a lot of new clients earlier in the year and I am at my limit. If anything changes I will let you know. Sorry, it is hard to say no but I can only do so much.

Winnie got a whole new makeover. 😍 Winnie was overdue for her groom when she came to me. Her previous groomer couldn't get her in and then it took her a while before she got my name so she was extra long.
