FACTS about Stinging Nettle

Historically, this herb has been used to treat allergic symptoms and external wounds, such as bug bites. Today, this herb is gaining newfound popularity as a treatment for BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy) in combination with such herbs as pygeum and saw palmetto. Nettle extract can inhibit the production of enzymes that contribute to the enlargement of the prostate. A natural diuretic, nettle is also useful for problems of the urinary tract and kidney stones.
