Rogue, Icy, her four pups and I had so much fun this past two days visiting Lisa H at her cottage! The pups were so well behaved and has so much fun on the dock.
Icy and Choco pups are leaving for new homes starting today, we have 3 males still looking for that special person or family, Felix, red merle, Ernie, black tri, and Simon, red tri. Sometimes people are looking for a more laid back pup on this breed, Ernie, and Simon fit the bill, big soft hearted boys. Felix is more adventurous, medium plau drive and energy, perfect camping and hiking companion!
Took the two pups and Choco to North Beach today, they loved it!
Outside play area is set up, going to be a fun next three weeks with this crew!
Boomer and Mortimer's Dozen! I will post individuals as soon as all eyes are open...in a few days!
First day out on the front deck!
De'Ja and her 11 puppies!
Dogs are loving the snow and new ball!
Snow was a hit with the puppies today!
A short video of crate training with Baysha's litter. They are eating all meals in crates and crated about 15 min at a time. In the next week we will be working on naps, half hour to an hour at a time. This helps with house training and transition to new homes. These are small crates for training and eating only, a 30" crate is recommended for new homes. Crate training is essential for all puppies and has many benefits and is useful for life even if only used occaisionally once the puppies are fully house trained.

This one shows her attempt to ignore Atlas by pickung up her treat and turning her back to him. It is nice to see young dogs with so much tolerance, she will be an amazing mother some day....and Atlas, he will learn boundaries...I hope!
Atlas is learning a valuable lesson from 15 month old, Maya. A good example of a dog using just enough force to get the message across to Atlas that he cannot have her chew treat. She puts minimal pressure on his nose, then when he continues she uses slightly more correction. She doesnt bite him, snap at him or hurt him in any way, but he gets it and moves on to find something else to do. If she had growled, I would have been fine with that as well, growling is a warning and a good for puppies to learn while they are young. I also think he bit her foot a little too hard!
The Keecam Pack out in the field playing around on the Palomino platform! Looking forward to getting a few more structures out there for them to enjoy and patiently waiting for our saplings to grow… They sure do love their dog park!
Picnic lunch on the back deck!
Perfect weather, El and Maya on a walk by ghe canal.
Exploring their environment, almost 5 weeks old!
