🚨 URGENT: FOSTER HOMES NEEDED 🚨
These are just a few of the faces we have had the pleasure of helping this week from the small communities we help❤️
BC is on fire, and so many animals are in desperate need of evacuation and foster homes. With the wildfires spreading, we are overwhelmed with the number of animals in need. Our furry friends need your help more than ever.
If you can open your home to a cat or dog, even temporarily, it can make all the difference. Please reach out to your local shelters or animal rescue organizations to see how you can help.
🏠❤️ Every little bit helps. Let’s come together to save these precious lives!

Meet Sparrow, est birthdate: 07/08/2023.
Sparrow is a sweet, calm, confident, laid back girly who still has kitten spunk in her when she gets in a playful mood.
If you don’t find her doing her favourite thing, eating, you’ll probably find her laying on something soft somewhere near her food waiting for her next belly grumble.
She loves affection from her human friends of all ages (even a high energy toddler!) and is a purring machine but is still very unsure of dog friends.
She would likely do best in a house without one, or with a dog friend who is equally uninterested or hesitant with her. With more exposure to dogs and a slow introduction she just may like her doggy friends more.

Hi, my name is Roo. I was born on 05/02/2024.
I am the largest of my litter mates by quite a bit but I am a big ol' softy that loves a good snuggle and a belly rub. I love to eat, sleep, play with toys that make noise, and play with my foster sister.
My foster Momma has been taking me to the park for walks and I love to sniff things. Everything is new and it's all a fantastic adventure.
I've had the chance to watch my doggo foster-sister play with her friends. Seeing all the doggos run and wrestle is a new experience for me as my only experience with that kind of play was with my siblings. I hope to have more doggo friends, soon.
I love people! I love saying "Hi" to every person that walks by. I have manners (when I'm not super excited). I can easily settle and relax on the couch or park bench and am content to watch everyone and everything.
I am a talker and I like music. Trumpets are a neat sound for me. I'm gonna be a big boy, but it also means I love big. I'm beginning to learn boundaries and permission, for myself and others. Sometimes I have to be reminded.
If you are looking for a big loyal guy that can be your calm companion, a fiesty wrestler, a road tripper and explorer, soft beds, digging in the dirt, cushy beds, and watching TV with you, then I just might be the boy for you.
My mom is a very sweet 55 lb Shepherd Mix and my dad is believed to be a stocky bully mix. People also think I look like a lab. All I know is that I'm pretty special and I get lots of attentions.
I am currently being fostered with a family with an adult child and another doggo. It's a quiet and calm environment inside, but there's lots of traffic noise and hustle-and-bustle outside that I've gotten used to.
I've been working on my basic manners and potty training and things are coming along. I hope to find a family that will love me and help me become the best me that I can be.
I am up to date on my vaccination schedule and my neuter is included in my adoption fee at my

Sweet, shy teenage Sophie is looking for a family with a canine sibling and the patience to help her deal with her big feelings.
When Sophie is feeling safe and confident, she is an absolute doll. She is playful and affectionate and an easy keeper in the house. She is fairly chill for a young dog and co-exists beautifully with the cats, dogs, and older children in the house. She listens well and is crate-trained and house-trained.
When she is out and about, Sophie is timid by nature, which we believe is a combination of her individual genetics and early experiences. She is currently in a training program to help her build confidence and we have high hopes for her. We have found that when she’s in the company of other dogs she is much more comfortable, so we would love to see her in a home with at least one confident canine sibling, and some canine friends to teach her how to “dog”!
With a savvy handler and especially with another dog, Sophie walks well on leash and is non-reactive. She would not be well suited to a very busy area with too many noises or startling scary things. We would also not place her in a home with young kids or anyone who doesn’t understand appropriate dog interaction – her sensitive nature would not do well with grabby hands or accidental tail pulls.
In a lot of ways, Sophie would be really easy addition to your average suburban home with other animals. Her adopter needs to be hands-on with training to ensure she gets appropriate socialization through adolescence, but we would work closely through the transition to set everyone up for success.
Once you’re in Sophie’s circle, her snuggles are worth it – and who can resist those soulful Bambi eyes??
Sophie’s estimated dob 05/19/23 and she weights 87 lbs.

Meet Veronica, est birthdate 09/01/2023.
Veronica is a sweet kitty who has had a rough start. She has already had a litter of her own despite being a young kitty herself! Luckily, this will not be her future.
Veronica is shy at first, but this means that once you gain her trust, the love she gives you is even sweeter. She’s very affectionate to those she likes and loves getting her head scratched and will chirp and demand them.
She has a heart of gold and is a great mamma to her little one, but she also still has the playful side of a kitten. She loves to play and chase around her toys. She may enjoy being adopted with her kitten Jughead.
Veronica will do best in quiet home with someone who is patient and who gets satisfaction out of gaining a kitty’s trust and seeing their transformation.

Our hearts go out to everyone affected.
Yesterday we drove to a rescue partner under an evacuation order to bring some animals to safety.
These pets need urgent care and loving homes during this crisis.
We’re calling for foster families to help provide temporary refuge for these animals.

Meet Treasure, a true fighter.
When she first arrived at the vet, she was in heartbreaking condition.
Her paw and ear were so severely damaged that they fell off during her check-up, most likely a trap and she lost one of her legs.
She had been left like this with no care.
With all she’s been through, Treasure’s spirit remains unbroken.
She’s a sweet, resilient kitty looking for a foster home or a loving family to call her own.
If you have room in your heart and home for a special needs cat who has so much love to give, please consider offering treasure a place to lay her head once she is released from our vet.
Treasure has been hospitalized for a week and a half now and continues to thrive.
We were very much under the impression that we would have to euthanize, but she is proven us all wrong .

We won’t stop looking for Bobs chance at a good life❤️
And we are pushing now more than ever as the boarding faculty faces probable evacuation notice due to the wildfires🥹
Some of you may remember our boy posted mths ago as we had found a lovely foster willing to assess and wrk with him so that we could get to know him better and see what a suitable home for him looks like.
Unfortunately that home was one without children as there are certain touches that make him uncomfortable.
He has now been back in boarding for many mth waiting on another chance!
Bob was rescued from a mountain near Lytton and Spence’s bridge, where his last owner left him.
He is approx 4 and has enough energy for long walks and can play fetch all day.
He picked up many of the basics such as being a perfect quiet boy at home and took to the crate like a champ!
He adores playing with all kind of ball toys, did we mention his favourite game is fetch?
He is friendly, calm and respectful when meeting other dogs.
He is very respectful of kitties some would even say terrified of them😛
He is still shy when it comes to meeting new people, and needs time and patience to warm up, and not be smothered.
He’s a country boy and strongly dislike loud noises and fast movements.
Bob has his quirks but we do feel maybe one day his person can be found🩷

Who needs to finish a walk when you find the perfect stump?
------
Meet Ember, Est. Birthdate: 12/02/2022.
Ember is a unicorn under her slightly shy exterior. She gets along with people and other dogs, and her current foster mom describes her as a “no issue” girl. Long car ride? No issue. Crate training? No issue. Feeling lazy and want to skip a walk? No problem. Want to hang out at a coffee shop or brewery? Sounds great!
In another universe, Ember would be snapped up in a red hot second. However, thanks to whatever backyard breeder brought her into the world, she has orthopaedic problems.
She is currently on supportive care including supplements and a monthly injection and carefully monitored activity (i.e, no crazy running, jumping or wrestling). She has a good quality of life at the moment but is at high risk of developing osteoarthritis later. We know someone out there will fall in love with her and give her the life she deserves.
Ember can be a little shy at first and warms up more quickly to women. Once out of her shell, she’s a goofy and eager-to-please housemate who never causes any trouble.
She likes dogs of all sizes – willing to sniff and get acquainted if they want to, or else just move along. She walks well on a leash and is attentive and highly interested in all training efforts.
This girlie would honestly fit into many different lifestyles, and could co-exist with another dog. We do not know how she feels about cats but for the right home, we could arrange a test.

Meet Toby estimated DOB 11/01/2007
CHARACTERISTICS: Friendly, Cuddly, Couch potato, Affectionate, Gentle
HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes
HEALTH: Vaccinations up to date. Senior cat requires care. More details below.
GOOD IN A HOME WITH: all people including children

Introducing Toby, the ultimate cuddle connoisseur with a heart of gold, is the ideal lap companion for a cozy evening. Affectionate Toby is on the perpetual hunt for a warm snuggle spot or a friendly hand to stroke his silky fur.
While Toby’s upbringing was filled with love, life threw him a curveball, landing him in a less-than-ideal environment, which can make him shy at first. However, once he settles in, he’s the most loyal and loving friend who’s always by your side.
As a senior cat, Toby requires someone who will really take care of him in his twilight years as he manages kidney issues, a pesky heart murmur, and gingivitis. But with a specific diet and a little extra TLC in the form of subcutaneous fluids, Toby’s boundless affection makes every effort worth it.

Meet Jewel, est. Birthdate: 12/28/2023
Jewel is calm, well-mannered and affectionate - she may be one of the sweetest cats ever :)

Her sleek physique, small size and unique markings are complemented by her cute (and a bit wider than the average) bridge of her nose.
She can be found regularly relaxing either in a soft spot near you or sometimes a bit hidden away, but don’t let her hiding trick you. She is happy to be found and get back in on some attention and pets!
She loves to watch Disney movies and curl up near you in bed.
Jewel would love to be adopted with one of her kitty roomies or another friendly feline.
