We’ve had some questions regarding the upcoming rabies clinic we are taking part in. This clinic is put on annually by the The Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit, we are simply a host location. The cost of the clinic covers the vaccine (with the help of community sponsors and municipalities), and only the vaccine. No physical exam is performed during this clinic, and clients are still strongly encouraged to still have their pets seen annually for a physical exam.
The purpose of this clinic is to ensure that as many of our communities’ pets are vaccinated against rabies as possible because it is transmissible to the human population.
Under no circumstance will our clinic or receptionists tolerate being bullied, belittled, or verbally abused due to personal opinions regarding this clinic. As stated, we are simply a host location for this event that takes part across two counties.
