Have you ever heard of Team Rubicon Canada? We recently had the pleasure of meeting a couple of the New Brunswick leadership members from the Team.

Do you want to help fellow Canadians after they are devasted by natural disasters?

Team Rubicon (Canada) is an organization which trains, prepares, and deploys in order to help others in their greatest times of need. They have groups across the Country and are made up of Veterans, First Responders, and civilians - all folks who work together to help others.

Check them out, consider giving to their cause, or become a member/volunteer!

Team Rubicon Canada mobilizes veterans and kick-ass civilians to aid in disaster response and humanitarian crises across Canada and worldwide.

Check out this amazing work by Without Warning Woodcrafts! Even better, he is selling tickets to do a draw on Remembrance Day so you could win it. It's worth taking a few minutes to go look at the page itself to see a video on the process to make it and more details on this particular piece.

Dont forget to get your tickets. With only 14 (52)sold so far the odds are looking very freaking good for you!!

In the event that I don’t break even by the 11th I’ll extend the draw until I break even. (Draw will be Nov 11th)

Tickets can be bought in person in the Oromocto area or e-transfers can be sent to
[email protected]

$10 each or 3 for $20

Come see us tomorrow at the Market @ Nove's Place in Cambridge-Narrows! 11-3pm Saturday 26 October.

We will have whole frozen chickens, eggs, duck eggs, preserves and jam. Come see us, buy some food products and learn about the farm.

There are lots of great vendors at the market! A great place to do your weekly shopping for baked goods, grab some fall decor, or start buying your Christmas gifts.

Hope to see you there!

🐓 Name Suggestions Needed!!! 🐓

These two roos are the newest additions to Philomena Farms, and they need names!

If you have any ideas, comment below ⬇️

The boys are looking forward to their quarantine being over and meeting their new ladies and flock. They are very enthusiastically saying good morning every day (whether we are awake to say good morning back or not ;) ).

Let's see what the great minds out there can come up with for names! Once Kathy has picked, we will let you all know.

What a day!

We had an OUTSTANDING turnout this morning for the breakfast we hosted at the Belleisle Community Center!!! It was so amazing to be able to meet so many people, and watch the community eat and chat together. The crowd kept us busy but thank you to all who attended for your patience and your positive attitude. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

From the crew at the Farm, we appreciate all our volunteers who worked very hard and make these events possible! We can't say thank you enough. If anyone else is interested in volunteering in the future, please reach out and let us know.

We also can't forget to thank the other businesses which helped us make this happen today! Thanks to the board at the Belleisle Community Center which offered the facility at no cost. Thank you to Trish & Henk's Quality Produce and Market who donated beautiful potatoes and apples for the meal. Sussex Superstore and Sobeys also supported by covering the costs of the fruit trays. Much appreciated!

As per usual, we were in the moment and didn't take any pictures - if you have any you are willing to share, please do so!

Have a great evening and rest of the weekend from the crew at Philomena Farms / Next Bound with Philomena Farms

Its a busy weekend for Philomena Farms!

Tomorrow morning we are at the Belleisle Community Center for our monthly free meal with Next Bound with Philomena Farms. Come have a breakfast featuring farm eggs from 9-11 am.

In the afternoon, from 12-4pm, you can find our items at the market@ Nove's Place. We will have some preserves, pork (roasts and smoked ham), and a few whole chickens available. If we have any eggs leftover from the breakfast, they will be there!

On sunday afternoon, we are hosting an equine assisted learning session for a group of veterans and their families.

Throughout the weekend, we will also building new pig fences, moving pigs to new areas and processing more chickens for family.

Just a typical weekend on the farm! :)

On this Thanksgiving weekend, we want to say how thankful we are for the past year and our community - we have a whole village of individuals and businesses in our surrounding communities who have supported us.

To all the individuals and families that have attended our events, shown us love, given us hope - thank you!

To our clients both in meat and produce sales, and for the equine services - thank you!

To the local businesses that have supported our free meals through food, venue, and cash donations - thank you!

You are the reason we do what we do, so again, thank you!

This year has been busy with daily farm life, expanding our animal herds and new ventures (such as the monthly meals and attending markets). But no matter how difficult or hectic some days were, it's all worth it in the end: we got to watch nature and animals in beautiful settings, we got to meet new people and make new friends, we provided quality food, and we got to do it all surrounded by an incredible community.

These are just a super small amount of what we harvested this year. We even have about 5, 5gallow buckets full of tomatoes just recently picked that are untouched!

We've already made multiple batches of bread and butter pickles, relish, chow, mustard pickles, and spaghetti sause. Salsa and apple products are next whem we have some time ;) I love how fruitful the garden was this year!
