Citizen Canines Professional Dog Walking has been in business since 2003. I am a big fan of the benefits that off-leash walks have for dogs; exercise, mental stimulation, confidence building and both canine and human socialization opportunities. I am bonded, insured and pet first aid trained. My clients will testify that I provide a reliable and trustworthy service and most important, a loving rel
ationship with their dog(s). I started Citizen Canines after I took early retirement in 2003. I began by becoming a certified dog trainer starting with our new Shiba Inu puppy but that involved working mainly evenings and weekends. As a single parent this presented obvious problems. So I decided that as I needed to walk our puppy anyway, why not bring some friends along? And so, Citizen Canines was born. Service area includes: McKenzie Lake, Douglasdale/Glen, McKenzie Towne, Cranston, Walden, Lake Chaparral, Heritage Pointe, Deer Run, Queensland, Lake Bonavista. Clarky and his older adopted black Lab sister Molly were part of our group when Clark was just a pup. He will be turning 9 next week. So now we have 3 Westies in the group, joining Winston and Zoey. Triple the fun! 🥰🥰🥰

Please sign this petition. Canada plans to ban rescue dogs from over 100 countries. This puts thousands of dogs lives at risk and affects many rescue organizations. I have had a number of out of country rescue dogs in my groups over the years.
If this ban is upheld, it could mean a life of suffering and danger for dogs who would otherwise have found loving homes in Canada.

Seeing these two play today. Little Teddy getting his confidence back after getting a rough "shakedown" from a big dog while camping, and newly rescued Chappy, from the Dominican Republic enjoying the puppy-hood he never had a chance to experience until now. Such an unlikely friendship.

A HUGE welcome to the newest member of our pack, Chappy! He was literally brought back to life when he was found by his rescuers on a roadside in the Dominican Republic. Chappy had passed from exhaustion and dehydration, and his rescuers performed CPR to resuscitate him. Thanks to CB Rescue Foundation for rescuing and bringing this very sweet boy to Canada. Chappy has found his forever home with one of my long-time client families. They previously had Max and Molly as members of our pack until they passed. Chappy could not have found a better home! 🥰
