I like this idea

When you eat fruit, do not throw seeds in the garbage pipeline. Wash and dry them. Put them in a box and leave it in the car. When you are on the way, throw through the window in places where there are no trees. Nature will take care of them itself. In Asian countries, this practice has existed for centuries. That's why now their fruits grow everywhere. ♥️

FYI Bridge will be closed May 24-27 however there is a light in at the end of the tunnel! As of Mon May 27th there will be a 'dynamic' 3rd lane available. This will mean 2 lanes going in the directions and times the most in demand due to traffic e.g., mornings going to the island and afternoons getting off the island.

Brigit is going out for bumpers in water! She was swimming for cheese balls last summer but not bumpers. I wanted to try bumpers when the water was warmer. Today was the perfect day. Feels like 26. She was swimming, and even diving in a couple of times, for bumpers thrown to the middle of the pond! Everyone enjoyed being outside all day.

We had a fun day with the Monteregie club. Fia was soooo excited, a tad too much I'm afraid. The setups were done in real test scenarios with dogs, guns, birds, blinds, etc. Very exciting. We have work to do. Here we are waiting for a 'dead bird'. This is when the winger or gunner throws the duck incorrectly. When this happens we need to turn around and wait for them to reload. This happened twice on one of our sets. Poor Fia. Brigit was there as well and got to experience this too (with bumpers for now). Focus was for her to see and learn how the game is played. She was pretty impressed. lol

It was a fun day yesterday training with the Club du Chien Rapporteur de Monteregie. Great people, dogs and weather!

Fia, and young daughter Brigit, got to get to do some field practice today. I didn’t get a chance to take action photos of the girls, but this is one of Brigit watching the action intently. Fia was ‘over the moon’ to be out playing again. I’m so glad that we will have more time to play together this summer.

Made my own winged jumps. I had older style jumps and extra pvc, so in total it cost me ~$50 for pvc fittings, clips and plastic mesh (+ a bit of elbow grease). Saved me a bunch of $$$. Let the games begin. Brigit approved. 🙂.

Enya's foot was operated on yesterday. She had a round 1/4" growth on one of her toes that was really bothering her. I opted to get it removed but to not send it away for analysis. The vet said it did look like cancer, albeit not super active with only a few white cells. Hopefully they got all of it, but hard to do on top of a toe like that. She has to have a cone on for at least 7 days and wear a plastic covering over her bandage when she goes outside and be on a leash. We didn't sleep well last night. She whined on and off and needed to p*e at 2am, and again at 4:30am. She's resting peacefully on the floor now next to me, cone off while I can keep an eye on her. Poor boo She's 12 yrs 7 mths Huge thanks to the Clinique vétérinaire Timberlea for their loving care. You guys are the best.
