We All Need A Rescue houses all of our Rescues at our facility and is not foster based, ensuring we get to know each dog prior to adopting them out. All adults must go on a one week trial prior to full adoption.

We would like to reintroduce Timmy to everyone. He came to the rescue at 2.5 weeks old in August /2023, alongside his 3 siblings.
He is an amazing boy, who loves to cuddle, romp with his friends or just hang out. Timmy is such laid back dog. He loves kids of all ages and all other dogs he meets. He would make a great dog for any family. Timmy is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated.attached are a few pics of him.

One year ago the amazing Bjorn joined our Sanctuary. He was in horrible condition with terrible demodax mange, infections and injuries from being hit by a vehicle. He was also very emaciated . He recovered amazingly and is such a pleasure to have around! His happy nature is contagious and he is lived by all. It’s hard to believe he is still in our care.

These fabulous two love the pool and never wait for it to fill before getting in. Lark and Sparrow are part of our “bird litter”. They came to us at approx 7 weeks old in February 2023 and have been here for a mere 515 days now.
Sparrow (f) and Lark (m) are the sweetest young dogs. Both are quite energetic but Sparrow definitely loves her cuddle time.
They are both fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped.
We would love to see them find furever families.

July is kicking off to a warm start at the Sanctuary. Pool is constantly being filled, and trails are full of green grass and the beginnings of berries, which some of the dogs love. We will start sharing some stories about our sanctuary dogs this month as we patiently wait for our August return when we will be at Early’s and Rod’s Hotrods.

Meet Izzy and Sadie! Izzie (brown) is a 5.5 year old, approx 10 lb, mini schnauzer x, and Sadie (white) is a 3.5 year old, approx 8lb, mini schnauzer x. These sisters came to us after circumstances in the family changed and they were unable to stay in the home. They are amazing girls who love snuggles more than anything. Both are spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

We had a very busy day at the Rescue/Sanctuary. It was vaccination and check up day.Nose to tail exam for all.
Thank you Corman Park Veterinary Services for sending us three amazing vets to spend several hours with us and the awesome dogs at the rescue. And all the dogs are doing well.😀
Once again, thank you Harvey and your amazing team for always being here for our dogs.

Good morning, happy Wednesday! We just wanted to share that after months of waiting, physio, dr visits and more Brent has finally received his surgery to repair his arm. He is now recovering and we are hopeful to get back to our bbq season in August.
Thanks to all of you who have helped out around the Rescue and continue to assist.
In the meantime we are certainly enjoying the beautiful weather and all the green landscape.

We are getting excited to be hosting our first BBQ of the 2024 season on April 27/24 at Cabela’s in Saskatoon (1714 Preston Ave).Come on down for lunch and a Rescue cuddle. We will be there between 11 and 3. We will also have the spin wheel for some added fun.

Today we lost a very important part of our WANAR family. Kelly Reid was a superstar as far as the Rescue dogs were concerned! When they knew he was there to visit they were beyond excited. Always knowing he would be giving them some one on one attention. Kelly always stepped up to volunteer! If we needed a hand with anything, he was there to help. At events, helping transport dogs, delivering auction items, walking dogs and so much more. Kelly was always ready for great conversation as well. You will be truly missed by the Rescue Dogs as well as each and every one of us you have touched. Our thoughts are with you Gayle Reid and family.

Good afternoon! We are a bit delayed in our thank you but have been busy shovelling these past few days.
Our February “dog food drive” was a huge success. We cannot thank Early's Farm and Garden Centre for helping us make this happen. Your ongoing support makes a huge difference in what we do.
Our goal was to get 200 bags of dog food and we received 240. Thank you so much to all that donated in-store, by phone or at our boarding kennel. The support is very humbling.
Most donations were anonymous, but we would like to mention Ens Toyota. They stepped up with a donation of 62 bags!
Once again we appreciate everyone who helped us help the Rescue dogs. Their bellies are grateful!🐶🥰

We have only one day left in our dog food drive! Have you got your donation in yet? Early's Farm and Garden Centre has stepped up to help make this possible. At an amazing price of $30 plus tax, meeting our goal shouldn’t be a problem. Stop in until Feb 29th at both locations and purchase your bags of Taiga Chicken made by Horizon Pet Nutrition. Leave them at the store for delivery to WANAR. And if you cannot make it, give them a call and place your order.

Happy Sunday everyone! We are down to the last few days of our February Dog Food drive! Our goal is to raise 200 bags this time. Early's Farm and Garden Centre has teamed up with us for this event and are offering the Horizon TAIGA chicken at an amazing price of $30 plus tax. Purchase your donation and leave in store for delivery. Purchases can be made at either location or you can call in your purchase.How easy is that? So challenge your friends,business owners can challenge other businesses to help us accomplish this. The Rescue dogs appreciate it.🥰

Early's Farm and Garden Centre has stepped up this month to help us with our food drive. The drive goes until February 29th.Visit either location to purchase a bag of Taiga Chicken at an amazing price of $30 plus tax. All food stays in store for delivery. If you don’t want to go out give them a call and purchase over the phone. Our goal is 200 bags.

Ta Ta Fur Now K9 Country Lodge is hiring.

We are looking for part time help at the lodge. If you love dogs, enjoy the outdoors and are a good team player we would love to hear from you.
Duties include general kennel tasks such as feeding, cleaning and supervising at play.
You will also be required to check in/out clients.
