Fur-Ever Homes Rescue Fur-ever Homes Rescue is a registered Canadian Charity based out of Calgary, AB. We are 100% volunteers based and rely solely on the generosity of donors.

Our Mission is to reduce the number of displaced animals and find them loving homes in Calgary and area. We work with a team of trainers, Veterinarians and animal care specialists to assure all of our animals receive the care needed. If you can't ADOPT, FOSTER

During Canada Day and Stampede are fun enjoyed by many but, not everyone enjoys the fireworks. For your dog and cats, fireworks can be very scary. Here are some tips to keep your pets safe.

It's Fido Friday! Today we are getting an update on Chica who is now known as Charlie.

"Chica, now Charlie, has settled in well. We had to change her name because our other dog, another Fur-ever Homes Rescue, is named Chi.
It's been a very smooth adoption. We had to do some training around peeing in the house, but that went well. Charlie also needed to learn a bit about how to walk on a leash without barking at everyone and everything we encountered. That has also been going well.
She is such a sweet, funny, playful dog! She has the funniest yowly barks when she wants our attention. She plays with Chi often, sometimes a bit to much for Chi! but it's been good for them both to have a friend. She is a snuggler and loves nothing more than to curl up next to us, often under the covers.
In the pictures, Charlie is the taller one. It's funny how similar they look." 😍

Calling all former Fur-Ever Homes Rescue Adopters!

We would love to celebrate you and your commitment to adopting a rescue this coming Sunday at our Pancake Breakfast. With over 5000 dogs adopted from Fur-Ever Homes over the years, we anticipate this being a very fun reunion! Please RSVP through the Facebook event if you can. This sweet pug is so happy. She loves loves loves her human companions. She gets along with kids and adults. She has moments of excited energy right before a walk and being fed. She allows company to come and go without barking and will take ear scratches and belly rubs from anyone that offers.
Ramona however does not do well in a home with other dogs or cats. So she will need to find a foster home without other animals. She is already posted for adoption.

Rennie is in need of a new foster home. He is on the nervous side but he is slowly coming around in his foster homes and is making great progress. He is great with other dogs and cats but slow to warm up to people. He is fine however and doesn’t react just retreats mostly. Chinese Crested are a loyal breed that are rewarding to work with.

It's Fido Friday! Today we get an update on Lucky.

"Lucky is doing very well and quickly became a family member. We kept his name the same. He arrived in the dead of winter so for the first could of weeks, going outside was a bit of a struggle. He loves being outside in the sun now that the weather has improved. He is great on a leash and enjoys going for walks.
We are very glad we got him. He is wonderful!!"

This is Freckles. He is a 2 year old Chinese Crested that loves to play. He is silly and fun and just needs a patient home that can help him continue to grow in confidence.

Every Animal Deserves a Second Chance....

Fur-ever Homes Rescue has a mission to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home displaced animals. Our efforts are not only local to Canada but reach as far as Korea, Mexico and the United States where many animals have little to no chance of survival.

Our adoption process is structured to carefully select loving homes for each animal so they will receive a lifetime of care and love.

Our spay/neuter initiative, education programs, pet food assistance program and guidelines for responsible pet ownership will reduce the number of animals left in shelters in the future. We work with a team of trainers, Veterinarians and animal care specialists to assure all of our animals receive the care needed.
