Congratulations to all the WINNERS and LEARNERS at MREC Spring Horse Trials. What a fantastic weekend despite the weather. Grateful for all the support and positive feedback with the last-minute changes.
Huge shoutout to the following:
📣 Lee and Carlee for EVERYTHING. They are the MREC energizer bunnies!
📣 Sherri and her red pen for being the best co-pilot. I would not have managed without you.
📣 Katie for the fabulous job announcing. Love your style, girl!
📣 Our TD, Julie, for pulling together the XC jump judge assignments and bringing me morning coffee. Teamwork!
📣Michelle for grabbing dressage tests at the end of the divisions and also helping make rider packages with her daughter, Addisyn. Never too busy to help!
📣Lesley and Jade for volunteering as XC starter and keeping the course running on time. while missing out on lunch and watching their girl go XC.
📣Alysha for scribing all day and bringing her friend Bhamini, who stepped in and did a fabulous job as XC finish timer.
📣Scribes Sarah and Debbie, who responded to a FB call for help and stepped up to not only as scribe but pitch in with other tasks.
📣Don for accepting all the responsibilities of XC timer and running with it, including getting those stubborn clocks synced.
📣Mercedes, who after scratching her horse, stepped up as Whip for XC.
📣Victoria for keeping both the dressage rings on time despite the chaos.
📣Chanelle for keeping the SJ ring flowing and surviving the monsoon rains
📣📣All the XC jump judges, who did double, triple, and quadruple duty out there.
📣Everyone who popped their head into the office and asked if I needed anything.
📣All the competitors for their smiles, kind words, encouragement, and support.
📣And finally to my campmate and daughter, Lauryn, who worked two jobs during the weekend and then packed up all our stuff, took it home, unloaded it, and then came back for me.
