A Whisker Away Professional Feline Grooming and Pet Sitting I was born in Bowness, Calgary and my family moved to Cochrane in 1984 when the population was less than 4,000!

It was an ideal place to grow up and after a few moves and some eye-opening world travel, I am once again a Cochranite, although the town is much different than when I first moved into Calgary almost fifteen years ago. I am a self-admitted crazy cat lady and an all-around animal nut through and through. My life has been filled with critters of all kinds; from many types of domestic pets to a wide

variety of farm animals, as well as wild and semi-wild animals. I can't imagine it any other way. I am certified in pet first aid and worked for years in veterinary hospitals, both family and emergency. I look forward to adding your furry, feathery and scaley family members to my extended critter family. Contact me today to arrange a meet and greet with you and your pets!

This beautiful kitty has been waiting a long time for her furever home! Give Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society - AARCS a call to meet Alameda!

This gorgeous girl has been looking for a furever home for over a year. 💔 Please share this post far and wide to help her find a purrfect match! 🙏

She is our Cat of the Week, meaning her adoption fee is only $50! Alameda is going to make a wonderful companion and she can’t wait to start a new chapter of her life! 🏡

Her foster dad works from home, and she’s made an excellent office assistant! 💻 She always makes sure to attend his working meetings with him! She is an affectionate girl and enjoys getting attention from humans she trusts. 😻

She can take a bit to warm up, so she would do best in a calm furever home that will give her time to adjust. She does have asthma, but she takes her puffer in the mornings like a champ. 💪

You can learn more about her at aarcs.ca/animal/a2000069719. Let’s find this kitty a loving home! 💚

South Cochrane: My friend Millie is lost somewhere in The Willows. She’s most likely scared and hiding or maybe someone has taken her in. Please, please, please join the search party by having a look in your garage, shed, under steps and porches and in any dark hiding spaces with a flashlight and watch for the reflection of cat eyes. She’s an extremely sweet girl and her family misses her very much!

Paprika is one of our longest resident cats - please share to help find her a home! 💜

With a name like Paprika you’d expect some spice, but she’s the perfect amount with just a little bit of sass. In foster care she’s learning clicker training, she knows her name, and she loves to figure out a new treat puzzle! Being with her people is the best, and she tolerates her furry foster siblings (although she is definitely the queen of the house). Paprika has well managed kidney disease, and with her special diet, she’s thriving. Paprika is a brave girl who’s looking for a home that will give her the love she deserves. 🐾

To learn more about Paprika, contact our Adoption Team at [email protected].

Thinking about adding to your family in 2025? Tucker would love to meet you!

Sweet boy Tucker has been waiting for his forever family for so long… 😔

Tucker arrived back in summer 2023 - a concerned member of the public reported that he had been living outdoors in less than ideal conditions, and ultimately law enforcement seized him and brought him to the shelter. He remained at the shelter for six months, and then was transferred to another shelter in hopes that he would have better success with a new adopter pool. Unfortunately he remained at that shelter for a year without finding a home, and CAHS opted to take him back into our care once again. Now almost 2.5 years old, Tucker has spent more than half of his life in a shelter. 😭

He is a friendly and energetic young guy who loves to go hiking and play with other dogs. Luckily one of our amazing foster homes agreed to host him so he didn’t have to stay in the shelter, and now he is just waiting for his forever family! 🏠

To learn more about Tucker, contact our Adoption Team at [email protected] 🐾
