A Whisker Away Professional Feline Grooming and Pet Sitting I was born in Bowness, Calgary and my family moved to Cochrane in 1984 when the population was less than 4,000!
(23)

It was an ideal place to grow up and after a few moves and some eye-opening world travel, I am once again a Cochranite, although the town is much different than when I first moved into Calgary almost fifteen years ago. I am a self-admitted crazy cat lady and an all-around animal nut through and through. My life has been filled with critters of all kinds; from many types of domestic pets to a wide

variety of farm animals, as well as wild and semi-wild animals. I can't imagine it any other way. I am certified in pet first aid and worked for years in veterinary hospitals, both family and emergency. I look forward to adding your furry, feathery and scaley family members to my extended critter family. Contact me today to arrange a meet and greet with you and your pets!

This kitty has the sweetest face! Bonded pairs are such loving additions to the family; consider adopting Roo and her sister Kanga!💕🐾💕

Roo’s sweet, playful personality shines through in her curiosity — she’s always exploring, but never straying too far from her loved ones. Whether it’s chasing after a toy, gently pawing for attention, or simply lounging around, Roo’s friendly spirit and loving heart make her the perfect feline friend. We would love to see this sweet girl find a friend, especially with her sister Kanga!

I’m sure glad none of my petsitting clients ever greet me like this! 😳😹

Morel is a shy young kitty who is searching for a quiet and patient home (ideally with another feline friend). He’s made a lot of progress in our care and is learning to trust, little by little! Winning the trust of a shy animal is so rewarding, and we know Morel is going to make his new family so happy!

A good reminder that salt lamps may be pretty but can also be deadly to pets.

The vet hospital which saved the cat's life took to social media to warn other cat owners of the potentially deadly dangers of salt lamps.

Our sweet girl Selena has been waiting for a home for so long now. 😢🏠

Selena arrived into our care back in February with her newborn puppies. They all found homes but Selena has been patiently waiting at the shelter ever since and we are really starting to see her decline in the shelter. 😔

She is an affectionate dog who loves to spend time with her people, and would be so happy to join an active family that would bring her along on outdoor adventures! Her ideal home might have a canine pal for her to play with, no cats, and kids that are a bit bigger. We know someone out there will give this deserving girl a chance! 🐾

Not able to adopt but interested in fostering Selena? Email [email protected].

How cool is this newly recognized, naturally occuring breed? Just in time for Halloween!🧛🏼🐾🎃

We are very excited to announce our NEW RECOGNISED BREED - The Transylvanian! 🤩

'Indigenous to the woodlands and forests around the Carpathian Mountain areas of Romania and Hungary, the Transylvanian cat is the most recently discovered natural breed in the world.

They have fascinating features such as the reverse Karparti coat, born white, over the first 12 months the kitten grows a black, blue or sometimes a red coat whilst leaving the points of the ears, nose and paws white. Basically a reverse point! The Transylvanian is thermal too, being lighter in summer and darker in winter.

The foundation breeders led by Beverly Elian (WCF Judge) are based in Romania, Hungary, Switzerland and in the UK with Stuart & Amanda Brass.

Extensive testing has occurred on all four generations supported by Leslie Lyons and it appears the breed is robust with no genetic or hereditary issues appearing in any of the litters.'

Not seen and heard enough? You can see our newly recognised Transylvanian at the Feline Fair! Buy your tickets here - https://tinyurl.com/5dm7kp9a! 🎟️

Let’s turn this boy’s tears into tears of joy! Do you have a spot in your family for sweet Edward?💕🐾💕

We need your help to find Edward a home! 🏠

Edward has been in our care since January and we can’t believe he hasn’t been adopted. He is a super friendly and social kitty who loves his people!

Edward is looking for a home without other cats or dogs as he prefers to have the attention to himself. This curious and active boy will fill your days with laughter, and he may enjoy some outdoor time in his new home as well. He is currently having a well-deserved break in foster care, so contact our Adoption Team at 403-932-2072 ext 113 to arrange a meet!

Please like and share this post to help Edward find a home! 🐾
