Miss Dolly. Not terribly pleased with me after being groomed and having her coat stripped pretty extensively. However, she was very tolerant and cooperative and looks pretty fabulous with that silver brindle colour shining through!

Scottish Terrier puppy update! As several of you are aware, I have been waiting on news to announce an ultrasound confirmed pregancy. Penny (wheaten coloured Scottie) is definitely pregnant! Its been a year and a half since her last litter. This time, Murdoch (solid black) is the father and I am so looking forward to seeing 'who' arrives with these puppies! Doesn't appear to be a large litter - 3-4 puppies, but that's what she had with her last litter. Puppies are due the last couple of days in March

I'm sharing these infrared thermal images as an FYI. There are images of Heidi (Miniature poodle), and Rosie (Golden Retriever) as well as one of my hand. I haven't included an example of all of the temperature points that would be used for analysis but it gives you an idea. Of course the hair or fur creates what is known as artifact which makes veterinary thermography challenging and sometimes requires the area of interest to be clippered short first. I won't get into a whole explanation of the possibilities here. Just sharing images! Note how regardless of the colour palette you can see clearly those little noses are darker because they are so much colder!

After days of -33 to -41 weather, it warmed up to -3 here this afternoon. The dogs really needed to burn off some energy and just be outside for more than 5 minutes! Brooke (Standard Poodle - apricot and white parti), her son Aero (deep warm solid brown Standard) and Annie (Golden Retriever and Rosie's daughter) played and romped and just enjoyed being outside today.

Heidi (CKC Registered Miniature Poodle) is due to have her puppies in a little over a month! The sire, Tobey, is a beautiful red poodle. Puppies will also be CKC Registered. 🐾🥰🐩

Heidi's ultrasound (miniature poodle) at about 26 days. Head count is always a little tricky but it appears that there are 6 and possible 7 puppies. These aren't the only images I saved but you can clearly see there are little puppies in each gestational sac. Heidi is resting more, and is overall just kind of settling into her pregnancy. Expected due date March 20/21. 🥰🥰🐩🐾

Today my 5 year old granddaughter asked if she could 'name' the little Scottish Terrier girl we are keeping. I said yes, sure you can. She very proudly announced she was naming the puppy 'Butterfly Rainbow'! Needless to say that name will not be her forever name, but for today Butterfly Rainbow it is! ❤🥰

Tobey (red male) and Heidi (charcoal brindle female) have been very busy and are expecting a family, due in just over a month in mid March. These two CKC Registered Miniature Poodles have been part of the familiy for the past year or so and both have the sweetest, most gentle nature you can imagine. Puppies on the way, pregnancy confirmed by ultrasound. 🥰🐾❤
