Eek where has the time gone?
September was busy !! A few fun horseback day rides out from 2K Camp then the Fundraiser raising 742$ for Leslie Long Rescue , next was the Ultimate Cowboy up Challenge at Whiskey Creek Acres, then the big fall fair @ Top Crop , in the blink of an eye “poof” it’s October ! Thanksgiving time , followed by a helping hand at a fun horseshow in Creston. Never a down moment as now winter prep has begun. Here are a few pictures to catch you all up to date . I have also been working on ground clean up on the horse area at 2K Camp & planning some winter days /camp out activities, more details to come 😊

Games to play, prizes to be won & food to be eaten bring the family September 14 for the Leslie Long Rescue Fundraiser . 11:30 to 1:30 Everyone welcome no dog or horse needed to just come & enjoy nature & some family fun. OR ——————Bringing your dog for the scavenger hunt walk sign up between 10 &10:30 ( approx . 1hr) $5 per person -ages 10 & younger free. OR—— —————-haul your horse out for the afternoon with sign up between 1 - 1:30 horseback riders come out a bit earlier to eat & play some games then get signed up for your turn at the scavenger hunt (approx. 1:5-2 hr) $5 per person ,ages 10 & younger free. 2K Camp was filled with teen girl giggles. I made the decision to invite a few of my favourite young ladies to come hang out for a teen camp weekend. The weekend turned out to be absolutely fantastic. I am so proud of each of these ladies. They put in a total of 8 hours horseback riding. They were responsible for, setting up their tent/ sleeping area, keeping care of the horses & dealing with each mornings breakfasts prepping, cooking & cleaning up afterwards. These four young ladies where so kind & thoughtful to each other. I am feeling blessed to have been able to have these young ladies for the last two & a half days . 2K Teen Campout was a Huge Success 🤠🤠.

A great weekend with the most amazing mountains & people ❤️Laughter, love, tears & personal struggles.
I am truly blessed & thankful to be able to share times like this with my two daughters & friends.
Taking the time to stop & breath, memorizing the beauty that surrounds us both the place & the people.

Camp last weekend July 18-21
Full of New Adventures for both guests & myself along with
new horses introduced to the camp
Late night settling in to camp to a early morning start with helping the local ranchers round up cattle & move them to a new range
A full 8 hours in saddle followed by a afternoon nap in the shade to a refreshing dip in the Wildhorse river
Early to bed Saturday night & early Sunday morning time to bond with the new camp horses before sending them back out to pasture.
2K Camp will be unoccupied for the next 2 weekends
I am heading into the mountains with my daughters for family time adventures

The adventures have began & not even a torrential down pour stopped us
Horseback riding, hiking, lots of delicious food, the sharing of life stories & lots of laughs turned friends into family over the July 1 long weekend
All 6 dogs, 6 horses & 6 people are looking forward to their next adventures out into wide open spaces together again
A huge THANK YOU to , Linda, Bill, Tammy, Mark, Makenna & all the visitors that stopped by.
You all made 2K Camps 1st gathering a very successful & memorable one

Organizing the mapping for the 2K Camp area. The maps will be displayed & will hopefully help all visitors get an idea of the areas to ride and the shorter hikes out from camp . I’m excited to have my 1st group of horseback riders on the July long weekend
