Little man Augy is good with the other dogs but it’s rare that he will open up to the point of soliciting play. He decided yesterday that he thinks Kiwi is pretty darn special.

Meet Murray! He’s new here!

Murray is a 6 month old Lab mix (he’s got yellow lab, chocolate lab and husky in there!) Murray adores other dogs and loves play time. We’re going to teach Murray that being around other dogs doesn’t ALWAYS equal play though - he got the hang of things real quick and actually didn’t attempt play on our walk. He followed the other dogs cues and walked beautifully right beside me.

I’m so excited to watch this cutie mature and learn some cool new doggie skills!

Ps. He did try to play with Banana in the van because they know each other outside of school. 😂😂🫶🏼

Why make them wait? 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 “Wait” is one of those commands I use alllll day long. With my own dogs as well as my walking crew. I find it to be the most practical command you can teach a dog. It’s fantastic for safety reasons too! “Wait” is focusing on me, staying where they are and not move forward until I release them. I use wait for when the dogs get in and out of the van, when I pick up poop, when we get to an intersection, before I take their leashes off, while being towelled off, when someone passes us on the trail, when I have to tie my shoe, giving out treats etc etc etc! So many uses!
