Dana and I have been starting out Kobe so he can be a safe and confident trail partner.

We are in the 'transition period' - where she starts to take over the ground work and riding, (which is a huge undertaking).

In the photo Dana's just mounted Kobe and they're just hanging out and doing nothing. This is so Kobe knows that when someone gets on him all he has to do is stand still and relax.

I'm so proud of them both. Dana has such a positive attitude and is committed and determined, which has helped her learn an impressive amount of skills in such a short time. It's been an amazing journey and I have loved working with them both.

Thank you to all the - From the Ground Up Horsemanship - student's I've had the pleasure of working with. I am honoured to be teaching the program that changed my life five years ago.

~ In the following pictures, I encourage people to look at the expression on each horse's face. Ears are pointed forward looking at the student with bright questioning eyes and patiently waiting for the student (leader) to ask a question.

At Dreamfeather Horsemanship Centre we are playing around with the responsiblity game. it was a lot of fun trying to maintain awareness of ourselves, each other and our equine partners.
It was especially cool watching the horses think through the game because they were was seeing different leaders depending on where they were in the circle.
Hope you enjoy!
