D56 😭🥺 8 weeks old today. What an amazing journey these past two months. Starting tomorrow puppies will be meeting their families with the majority leaving on Saturday. They are happy, bold, bitey, speedy, and super sweet. They have the most amazing suite of families excited to bring them home! 5/7 are toller people and the 2 first-toller people (I hope they are in for a treat!) each have more dog/training/etc expertise than me. In addition, each one of us has said good bye to a beloved dog in the very recent past. I hope these sweet puppies bring each of our grieving hearts so much love and light. Big hugs and tears all around. I’m so honoured these families have trusted what have endeavoured to create. I’m so elated to have my first boy toller 🥹
D55 - Feeling a bit sad today as pick up plans start falling into place 😭. Sweet babies. I didn’t film very much today because I was simply enjoying them. I love them so much 🥰🥰🥰🥰
D54 (yesterday) - this might look serene but I assure you that the camera got cut when the herd decided that the tree line is no longer a boundary to take into suggestion. These puppies need their own people now!! 🤣🤣
D53 (yesterday) - we had some awesome visitors in the morning, they are charming puppies! They are very much taking advantage of all the milk bar opportunities they can get like a proper toller! They spent the afternoon indoors due to the heat warning, I can’t believe the weather for this time of year - the hottest week all summer. But spent their energy playing through the evening in the shade with the sprinkler - too sweet! This outdoor pen doesn’t feel big enough anymore!
D52 - these little dogs are getting a little too brave and becoming both independent and quick! Our adventures may require small groups this week to prevent any further heart palpitations. The puppies charmed my friend’s darling kindergartener-to-be this evening (thank you!), a bunch of toller puppies can get a bit wild so they most enjoy eachother on opposite sides of their pen. They ended the evening sharing some beef chews before bed.
D50 + D51 - wow are they keeping me busy! Edited into one video from clips over the last 2 days. They sure have a rhythm: busy playful mornings that tame into sleepy afternoons, and then as the sun dips behind the trees they become wild again. They welcomed visitors and pretended to be sweet vs the bitey gremlins that come alive in the evenings. We explored the pond shore up until one puppy “accidentally”summersaulted into the muddy part (I have a nice clean gravel/stoney area but nope, had to fall where it is extra muddy) and consequently received his first bath. He was happy to cuddle in his towel after, no worse for the wear! The rest of the puppies explored the water up to their ankles and one to his elbows 💙. I have zero doubts about whether they will love the water and swimming as they get older - but for today, I think they preferred wrestling in the weeds 🤣
D49 - the pups are seven weeks old today! They continue to grow and learn and are very engaging! Their following skills are improving thanks to cheese 😂. They love tugging and toys and tackling (typical boys). We had my Dad and his partner visit today - they socialized and played and then had a snooze. I did some computer work in the afternoon which left them wild after dinner! After the big dogs were trained, we brought the pups into the garage for a romp, I am enjoying them a lot!
D48 (yesterday) - exploring nature, being cute, eating snacks, a pretty awesome day!
D47 - this rainy evening we went to Dan’s place and took over his main floor! For their first time inside his house I always love to set up a meal for them to find to build optimism, but they arrived ready to party regardless! So fun to see!
We also did multiple potty breaks where 7 puppies followed me outside, then across the driveway to potty on grass and came back inside. These little logistical moments are huge for building good habits when going somewhere new!
D47 - come on the puppies’ first walk with us! They did a great job following and sticking together and Scout, Fizz and Gnash were the most excellent mentors. I counted to 7 about a hundred times 😂
