Phil out for a walk with his new friend! He does very well with other dogs, keeps to himself and isn't offended by rambunctious play. He respects the long leash and wants to stick with the group!

We are currently involved in the help of rehoming a few rescue dogs. The animal population is growing and there is more need for rescue dogs needing homes. At Paula's we are currently helping rehome a few dogs and a snake. We Will be posting each animal one at a time. Phil
Philip is a 2-year-old mixed breed, resembling a Hound X Doberman type. We do not know his genetic make-up, but he is a very unique looking dog with a tall, lean structure. He is soft, quiet, and goofy – with medium exercise needs. While Phil is still learning to enjoy human affection, he does love the company of other dogs. He is delicate and could be a great companion for any size of dog. However, he does have a high prey and chase-drive, so we cannot recommend he goes to a home with cats or other small animals/free-range livestock. He has no formal training but will adapt to his new family’s routine in no-time. He is neutered and vaccinated, about 70 pounds. He has above average caloric needs in order to maintain a healthy weight, so an adopter should be prepared to feed a high-quality and high-calorie food.

Copper
Copper is an approximately 2-year-old Beagle/Hound mix type. He is as every bit cute as he is bouncy. He has high exercise needs and will need ample mental stimulation as well. He will need more than a backyard; he will need daily walks in the bush. Ideally, he would be off-leash trained so he can get the most out of his time outside. He is not crate trained and does not like to be confined in a small space – so would do best with a large kennel set up, room, or with someone who is home most of the time. Copper is extremely food driven and would be a dream to train. With his enthusiasm he could be a great amateur flushing bird dog or enjoy tracking. He is neutered and vaccinated, about 40 pounds. No health issues apparent.

Buster
Buster is an approximately 2-year-old Terrier mix, and is exactly as a Terrier should be! He is a compact, robust, and mix of sugar & spice. Buster has medium exercise needs and would benefit from having other dogs at home to run and play with and a backyard. He has no formal training, but did fairly well in a crate. He loves toys and would be a great companion to play fetch, tug, and other one-on-one games with. He will require regular brushing/grooming/clipping as his coat does grow out. He is neutered and vaccinated, about 20 pounds. No health issues apparent.

Marigold

Ball Pythone approximately 1 year of age. Marigold is healthy and has a great appetite of frozen meals. She is in her habitat and happy.

Batty

Batty is a Bully/Labrador type mix, approximately 2 years old. He is friendly, intelligent, and affectionate with medium exercise needs. Batty is good with others dogs, but those his own size are better playmates for him as he likes to wrestle. He has no formal training, but would not need much time to become an easy member of the family. He is vaccinated and neutered, about 65 pounds. He has had recurring ear infections, so an adopter may need to be prepared to feed a novel protein diet (something other than chicken or beef).
