ADOPTED:) - Poor lite CLAPTON. He is so scared at the shelter. HE can't figure out how he got there. Clapton is 1-2 years old. He weighs about 16 lbs. He looks terrier to us. He is kennelled with lots of other dogs and does really well. We'd like to see Clapton with a calm and forgiving dog person. He is going to need some love and patience to recover from his shelter experience. Not tested with kids and cats.

Meet Mighty Marvin! He is a 13-ish lb Lhasa mix who, like us, loves cuddles, eating and making new friends. This guy will steal your heart in no time! He is fully house-trained, letting you know when he needs to go out and LOVES going on long walks and hikes. He likes to save his energy for walks, meaning he makes a great cuddle bug at home. Marvin is doggy daycare approved and loves to play with others! He has been tested with a toddler and large groups of people with no problems and is super friendly on walks. Marvin is very food motivated so training him with his kibble is a breeze! However, Joey Tribbiani (from Friends) and Marvin live by the same rule - don't touch his food! So we recommend having him in a home with older children (10+) who can catch his cues that he wants to be left alone. Marvin does not like being left alone, and we are working on this. But he is a star at his local daycare where he hangs with the big dogs club.

ADOPTED- Meet Luciano. This dog is just amazing. He looks to be a poodle-maltese or maybe a bit Havanese. Hard to say. He is about 2 years old. He is so mellow and just wants to give his human BIG hugs. He is good with other dogs. He is good with people. He is not a high-energy guy; more of a plodder and neighbourly stroller. He is not tested with cats yet. We are trying to assess him kids and we will update. He has an excellent temperament. Luciano weighs a whopping 19 lbs, but he is being shaved to remove all his matted fur and will likely lose a couple of pounds after that.

MEET BUCKWHEAT. We are celebrating Buckwheat's 4 week birthday. He is not available for adoption yet. Buckwheat is Tervuren Shepherd puppy. Buckwheat's mom stopped producing milk. Then Buckwheat got a bit of a cough. His amazing foster syringed fed Buckwheat (every 3 hours) until momma's milk came back. We want to thank Rebecca for her vigilance and continued care of these rescue sweethearts. Mom and baby are fattening up and doing so well. There are some AMAZING fosters in our community. Ewok has a HUGE head, a stocky long lab-sized body and short stumpy legs. He is a pretty funny looking dude. He stops traffic everywhere he goes. He has a basset-type personality too. He is a happy plodder. He loves other dogs. He thinks life is a jolly trip, and prefers not to listen when sniffing a flower. Ewok is not tested with kids or cats yet. ADOPTED:) - Meet Macallan. What a cutie-patootie! Macallan is a neutered 8 month old fluff ball. We see some terrier, maybe a Cairn, with poodle or maltese. Not sure, but boy is he adorable. He weighs 7 lbs. Macallan loves everyone and everything. He gives flying kisses and does lots of zooms. He does great with dogs. He is young and willing to learn. He is good with kids too. ADOPTED:)- Meet darling and pretty BOUDICA. She is a 2-3 year old 13 lbs spayed Coton de Tulear ? Or a poodle-havanese-westie x (best guess). She does look very Coton to us. Boudica is an awesome little girl. She is potty-trained, sits quietly at work, walks well on a leash and says hello to all the dogs in her neighbourhood. She is a friendly girl. She'd love to be a second dog but OK alone as well. Boudica really loves to be cuddled and give kisses. She is very food motivated. ❤ She has not been around any cats. She has met children on her walks and she is fine with them. Boudica has a cataract in both of her eyes. One eye sees just fine. The vet said she has some vision out of the other eye. The society's vet suggested just leaving it as it causes no pain and she gets around just fine for now; however, there are specialists who can correct dogs' cataracts, but it can be pricey. Her cataracts do not slow Boudica down any, but she may occasionally bump into something on the side with the more pronounced cataracts. Other than that, she is in fine fettle.
