🌧️ Rainy days getting you down? Don’t let the weather stop you from having fun indoors! Here are our top 5 activities to keep your pup entertained and active when you’d rather skip the cold, wet walk:

1️⃣ FIND IT
How to play: Have your dog sit and stay while you hide some kibble, low-cal treats, or their favorite toy. Once they’re in position, cue a release word like “go,” “OK,” or “find it” and let them search! Change up the hiding spots to keep things exciting. Try at least 3 rounds to tire them out mentally!

2️⃣ TRAINING OPS
How to play: Check out YouTube or Google for new tricks or refresh your pup’s current skills. Keep training sessions short (10-15 minutes) and always end on a positive note. Aim for 2-3 sessions a day to keep them engaged!

3️⃣ PUZZLE TOYS
How to play: Get an interactive puzzle feeder or get crafty and make your own! Fill it with your dog’s favorite treats and let them work to figure out how to get the goodies. It’s great mental exercise and keeps them occupied for a while!

4️⃣ TUG-OF-WAR
How to play: Grab a rope or dog toy and have a friendly tug-of-war match! This game helps burn off energy and can help reinforcing impulse control. Let your dog win sometimes to keep it fun and balanced!

5️⃣ INDOOR FETCH
How to play: No need for a big yard! If you have a hallway or spacious room, throw a soft ball or toy for a game of fetch. Keep it gentle and let your dog bring the toy back to you for a mini workout indoors.

💡 Bonus: If your dog’s still full of energy, mix and match these activities to keep things fresh!

Did you know that a portion of our proceeds goes to supporting The Pet Outreach Program through Atira Women’s Resource Society?

As someone who works for Atira, I’m honoured to be part of an organization that supports women and gender-diverse folx in meaningful ways. I’m an unapologetic feminist and deeply believe in the strength and resilience of women. Women helping women is key to creating lasting change.

Expanding services to include pet care is something close to my heart—not only because of my love for animals but because I know how essential they are to our mental health and emotional well-being. No one should have to choose between safety and keeping their pet.

At Arlos Naturals, community and mental health advocacy are core values. Being able to contribute to both people and animals through this initiative is something I’m incredibly proud of.
