tip! Safe food handling is important with all food, especially raw. Select a bowl or toy made of a non-porous material so that you can fully sanitize between feeding sessions: metal, silicone, or rubber are common options. Glass works too, but you know your dog and whether that's a safe idea 😉

Some of our favourite options are:
LickiMat wobble bowls: easy to load up, slows down fast eaters and provides extra enrichment during meal times

Messy Mutts 3 pack of metal bowls with lids: pre-portion or pack to go! Optionally, just use the metal bowls for every day use.

WestPaw Toppl: the perfect fill-and-freeze toy! For an extended meal time, add some fun chews to their food. Or, just fill with their raw and let them take their time licking it out.
Not recommended for dogs who throw the toy around, but a great option for those that will sit and settle! Similar to a Kong but much easier to clean out.

Keep your pets safe through the summer heat with these hydration tips! This applies to dogs as well as cats 🐶🐱

Tip 1: Take an extra bottle of water and collapsible bowl on summer outings and offer water periodically.

Tip 2: Give electrolytes when it's hot, if your pet doesn't drink enough water on their own, or you're doing strenuous activity in the heat.

Tip 3: Offer moisture-rich foods as treats! Lots of dogs enjoy a munch of cucumber or watermelon. Berries are another favourite.

Tip 4: Make their meals as hydrated as possible. If you don't feed raw, add some wet food and/or soak their dry food so they absorb more water.

Tip 5: Know the signs of dehydration and seek vet help when needed. Look out for Dry gums
Lethargy
Sunken eyes
Weakness
Loss of skin elasticity
