About this past weekend with the Gareth Graves Clinic!
This weekend's clinic with Gareth Graves was a resounding success! Gareth's exceptional teaching style and ability to connect with riders and horses alike created an educational and inspiring experience for everyone involved. Despite the horses being a bit fresh, the feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting his skill and patience as an instructor. Thanks to the enthusiastic turnout, this clinic generated over $7,000, a significant contribution to our ongoing efforts to support and grow our club. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to garethgraves for coming out to our club and sharing his expertise with us. We also sincerely thank our members for their understanding and cooperation in allowing us to close a ring for this event. Your support made this incredible opportunity possible, and we look forward to bringing you more enriching experiences in the future!

10 spots remain in the Brent Stewart Horsemanship Clinic! If you’re interested but lack a horse, contact Megan and we’ll arrange something for you.

Brent draws inspiration from Buck Brannaman, one of the world’s leading practitioners of handling horses based on classical concepts from the California vaquero tradition.

He works with a horse’s nature and his understanding of how they think and communicate to facilitate a feeling of safety, which in turn allows horse and rider to achieve a true union.

Annika is a Mental Performance Consultant, specializing in working with Equestrians to build confidence and develop key mental skills to support competence and progress in the saddle. Having grown up as a Three-Day Eventer in British Columbia, Canada, Annika worked internationally in eventing and show jumping after graduating high-school as a groom, rider, and coach in Ireland, Australia and America. During these years she encountered Sport Psychology and the impact it had on success in horse sport. Annika quickly became fascinated with the difference mental skills training could make in a rider's success. After completing her Equine Canada Competition Coach certification, Annika returned to school to study psychology. Today, with an MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology, she works with riders and other athletes to understand the mind and build mental skills and mental fitness for sport and performance. Join us for a sport psychology workshop designed specifically for equestrian athletes! You’ll learn how to cultivate these essential skills through the practice and mastery of proven mental tools. We’ll explore real-world, equestrian-specific scenarios to show you exactly when, where, and how to put these tools into action. A significant focus of the workshop will be on managing fear and building confidence—two critical components for peak performance in equestrian sport. In addition, we will cover tools for managing emotions, improving focus, and maximizing learning. By the end of the session, you’ll have crafted a personalized plan for integrating mental skill practice into your daily routine, ensuring you continue to grow and excel long after the workshop is over.
