Birds are also extremely susceptible to any source of air pollution. This includes dust, environmental toxins etc. The Nest is asking for help to obtain TWO sets of our IQ air filter replacements to ensure the air they are breathing is optimal.

Today is Billy’s birthday, he is aging like cheese…

Dr. Dillon will be at Night Owl Bird Hospital this week, give our office a call if you'd like to schedule an appointment.

Dr Dillon first began her veterinary career right here at Night Owl Bird Hospital back when she volunteered as a high school student.

She then went on to become a veterinary technician and continued to work at Night Owl until 2009 when she followed her family when they to relocated to New Zealand.

While living and working in New Zealand, Dr. Dillon decided to further her studies to become a veterinarian and graduated from Massey University in 2015. During her time in New Zealand Dr Dillon worked at the Auckland Zoo, the Massey University wildlife hospital (Wildbase) and an emergency and specialty hospital. She has also had various opportunities to participate in field research and completed zoological training programs at a variety of zoos around the world including the San Diego Zoo.

Dr Dillon fell in love with San Diego and moved to the area in 2016. She completed both a 1-year rotating internship and a 3-year avian and exotic animal specialty residency at the Pet Emergency & Specialty Center (PESC). She completed her avian specialty residency training in July 2021.

Dr Dillon enjoys helping out at Night Owl whenever she can and always looks forward to working with the wonderful staff, clients and avian patients there.

This post is to reunite stray animals with their guardians. Stray animals are not available for adoption until the end of a stray hold and after they have been assessed both medically and behaviorally.
