Catfe is Vancouver’s original cat cafe, established in 2015 and located on the second floor of International Village Mall (aka ‘Tinseltown’ Mall), where Chinatown meets Gastown. We are partnered with various animal rescues and their teams of fosters and volun

teers to help adoptable rescue cats from all over Canada find loving homes. Our cat cafe is both a temporary foster environment for rescue cats, and a welcoming space for cat lovers in need of some animal therapy. Enjoy cat-themed drinks and snacks, browse our shop full of fun meowchandise and supplies for your cat, and make some new feline furriends! One of North America's first cat cafes, Catfe has found homes for over 1300 cats since opening in December 2015.

Tomeowrrow: it's Catfe's 9th purrthday and there will be FREEEE CAAAAAAKE! 🎂🥳 A tradition we started last year and I've been waiting all year to eat that yummy cake again. 🤣 Join us and share all your photos of the cats you adopted from us and your favourite memories of past and present kitties we've met along the way! In celebration of the Eras Tour arriving at its final destination this weekend... It's Black Friday at Catfe, or rather , the day we celebrate the glorious house panther! 🐈‍⬛️ It is sometimes said that black cats can be overlooked by potential adopters due to unfounded superstition or bias, or that because of their colouring, they tend not to photograph well and get passed by... but when you meet them in purrson, you discover that each cat has its own unique and special personality. Black cats are extremely loving, gentle, and playful kitties that are beloved by our staff and often become favorites that are bittersweet to say goodbye to! 😻 Currently, there are 12 black kitties at Catfe, four of whom are going home with their bonded besties very soon – congratmewlations to sisters Sable and Ebony, Sam (with his bestie Dolly), and Bullet (and Ruby) on their approved adoptions! The eight black kitties still looking for their furever homes are Luke (with his bestie Yoda), Grace, Poppy, Nigella, Chia, Quinoa, as well as floofy newbies River and October (with bonded bestie Nadja). 🖤 If your household is missing a sweet little void (or two), please consider adopting them from Catfe or our wonderful rescue partner and being a furever home to a kitty in need.

These two fluffy black cats look so similar when they're walking away, but you CAN tell them apart because Ash has floofy ear tufts and Luke wears a blue collar (that is often hidden by his floofy mane)! Luke's also here with his bff, Yoda!
