Catfe is Vancouver’s original cat cafe, established in 2015 and located on the second floor of International Village Mall (aka ‘Tinseltown’ Mall), where Chinatown meets Gastown. We are partnered with various animal rescues and their teams of fosters and volun
teers to help adoptable rescue cats from all over Canada find loving homes. Our cat cafe is both a temporary foster environment for rescue cats, and a welcoming space for cat lovers in need of some animal therapy. Enjoy cat-themed drinks and snacks, browse our shop full of fun meowchandise and supplies for your cat, and make some new feline furriends! One of North America's first cat cafes, Catfe has found homes for over 1300 cats since opening in December 2015.
Who's ready for the long weekend!?! We will be open regular hours for the pawliday on Monday (10am to 8pm)... and then starting Tuesday, our weekday hours are changing! We'll be open 11am to 8pm on weekdays so we can all sleep in a bit as we ease our way into the fall season. 😹 As always, we are closed daily 2 to 3 for cat nap time, by order of the cats. 😎 We don't make the rules, they do!

Newbie consultation with Ducky and RayRay... Talk about Chatty Cathy’s, these bonded sisters love to talk! Ducky (right) is a cutie with a little kink in her tail. She comes out of her shell much faster than RayRay. Ducky wants to be in your room with you and tell you all about her nights and her days when you're home. She has lots of stories. RayRay took some extra time to be sure her foster home was a safe space. RayRay has this beautiful tail that just curls up and over her back. They're both great with dogs and cats, and would likely do well with children as well!

Graham (orange tabby) and Hershey (flame point Siamese) are energetic and affectionate bonded boys. They love to play and wrestle together. They also love to snuggle up together for a good nap. Hershey is usually the first one to come for pets. His loud purr can be heard from across the room (which causes Graham to come for pets too). Both the boys enjoy giving nose boops and head bumps while they take in their scratches. The Siamese in Hershey comes out in his vocal chatter. Sometimes, he can hardly even take a step without adding a little chirp. He’s an excellent conversationalist. Graham likes to join in on the chatter too! They are not short of things to say. They are gentle with kids and good with other cats.

Just a Boo, blissfully drowning in a sea of Junior 🥰😻
On Monday night we received a call that our rescue partner Heart and Soul Dog and Cat Rescue Society had a very sick kitty in desperate need of a life-saving blood transfusion. Junior was the first to step up and be tested, and his blood was a match! He stayed overnight at the hospital recovering yesterday, and our Opurrations Manager stopped by to visit for some purrs and cuddles. Junior was looking a little rough, but was in good spirits and purring and so happy to see his fwend. He'll be returning to the cafe this evening, and Link, the kitty he helped save, is heading back to his foster home.
Junior has had quite the month! It was his 5th birthday on February 11, and we celebrated the occasion by donating all proceeds from the day to Heart and Soul to help support all the hard work they do to save cats and dogs. Many people dropped by the cafe that day just to donate to the cause, and we ended up raising a total of $4456 for the rescue! 🥳
We're so proud of our boy Junior, a friend to all animals and a true hero. We can't wait to see him when he returns to the cafe tonight to give our brave boi all of the treats and hugs and snuggles!

These two fluffy black cats look so similar when they're walking away, but you CAN tell them apart because Ash has floofy ear tufts and Luke wears a blue collar (that is often hidden by his floofy mane)! Luke's also here with his bff, Yoda!
