DENTAL MONTH PROMOTION--15% OFF DENTAL CLEANING PROCEDURE!!

February is National Pet Dental Awareness Month! It's the perfect time to snuggle up with your furry Valentine.....as long as they have fresh breath. Luckily, there's plenty you can do to care for your pet's dental hygiene!

Top Dental Tips:

Brush your pet’s teeth regularly (veterinary dental specialists recommend brushing once a day for best results – unless your pet shows signs of extreme discomfort or stress).

We humans typically brush our teeth twice daily, use dental floss, and see our dentist every 6 months – so it’s key to extend some of that care to your loyal companion as they have teeth too!

According to the AVMA, many pets have early evidence of periodontal disease by the time they’re 3 years old. It’s important to get regular checkups done to prevent pain for them and costly procedures for you down the road. Remember, your pets can’t tell you when they have a toothache!

We are offering 15% off for dental cleaning* from now to the end of February. All eligible procedures must be booked for February. A pre-anesthetic exam is required (if pets haven't been seen by our vets within 1 month of the procedure date) as usual.

Training your pet can be fun and rewarding using the right approach! Here are some tips to help your furry friend learn and grow:

1️⃣ Positive Reinforcement – Reward your pet with treats, praise, or playtime when they do something right. For example, if your dog sits when asked, offer a treat and lots of praise! 🦴
2️⃣ Be Patient – Learning takes time! Stay calm and give your pet the space to understand your teaching.
3️⃣ Master Basic Commands – Start simple! Teaching “sit” or “give paw” is an excellent foundation for more advanced training.
4️⃣ Consistency is Key — Practice regularly and ensure everyone in your household is on the same page regarding commands and rewards.

✅ Puppies and Kittens: Every 3-4 weeks until they’re about 16 weeks old for vaccinations, deworming, and check-ups.
✅ Adult Dogs and Cats: At least once a year for a routine check-up, vaccinations, and preventative care. Some pets might need more frequent visits depending on their health.
