Rescue PAWS Canada is the adoption agency for Rescue PAWS Thailand, a non-profit street dog rescue group in Hua Hin, Thailand. Want to save a life?

These dogs deserve a loving home, and that's what we're here to do! We rehome beautiful pups from our shelter in Thailand, as well as from other incredible shelters we have partnered with across the w

orld! Our Adoption Coordinator is ready to assist with finding the perfect family for the perfect dog. Our dogs can be flown across Canada, and thus far have primarily headed to Vancouver and Toronto. Each dog has their own album of photos, information and videos attached to showcase their personalities and lovely natures. From the beginning of Rescue Paws Canada in March 2017, there has been over 250 adoptions into Canada, with amazing interest from animal-loving North Americans. Canadians have such big doggy hearts and we are BEYOND appreciative of this! The ways you can help include adopting, becoming a foster home for those dogs who need a temporary home, donating money to support all rescue operations, and most of all becoming a flight buddy! If you are flying from Thailand, China, Mexico, Kuwait, Qatar, Nepal or Costa Rica to Canada, you may be able to help fly the dogs to their new loving homes! Meet Russell, an energetic and friendly Jack Russell Terrier looking for his forever home! At just 1.5 years old, Russell is a small bundle of joy, standing 28 cm tall and weighing 7.9 kg. He has a lively personality and loves interacting with people of all ages, including children. Whether you’re out on a hike or spending time at home, Russell’s enthusiasm and love for life will keep you smiling.

Russell is in excellent health, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations (rabies vaccine received in October 2024). He gets along harmoniously with cats, children, and adults, though his interactions with other dogs depend on their compatibility and the atmosphere. While he occasionally barks and shows mild possessiveness, he is not prone to chewing furniture, has no history of running away, and is currently undergoing crate training. Russell thrives in an active household that enjoys outdoor activities and will be a perfect companion for adventures.

This brave little guy has overcome a difficult past—he was rescued from the streets with severe neck injuries but has made a remarkable recovery thanks to care and love. Now, he’s ready to start a new chapter with a family who will give him the love and activity he craves. If you’re ready to adopt or foster Russell, please reach out for more details.
