All of the plants in the lily family are EXTREMELY toxic to cats and any part of the plant, from the bulb to the pollen to the water you put cut flowers into, can KILL your cats. Not all of the lily plants have "lily" in the name so please do your due diligence before bringing cut or potted flowers into your home, especially at this time of year.
Plenty of other Spring flowers are also toxic to cats so don't assume that your Easter bouquets are automatically safe if you leave out the stargazer & Easter lilies. Even flowers like hyacinths, irises, & chrysanthemums that are generally considered "safer" choices can cause non-lethal side effects like vomiting, diarrhea, drooling, & confusion. Some, like daffodils & crocuses may trigger even more dangerous symptoms like arrhythmias, seizures, internal bleeding, & respiratory depression.
If your cat eats plants, digs up bulbs, chews on leaves, or even likes to rub up against flowers (& get pollen on their fur), then you're better off either refusing bouquets, putting them in a room the cat can't access, or buying yourself a vase/container that attaches straight on to your wall so the cat can't possibly reach it.
Flowers are lovely but they're not worth a $5000 emergency vet bills & the guilt of poisoning your beloved pet.
Here's a longer list of life-threatening, dangerous, & somewhat toxic plants to watch out for since they may show up in your Easter bouquet or garden centre this Spring: https://www.vets-now.com/.../spring-plants-warnings-cat.../
Be vigilant.
