Trimming your kitten's nails can be tricky, especially for the first time! Be sure to use pet nail clippers. Trim their nails regularly to keep them from getting too long. Choose the right time! Wait until your kitten is relaxed or tired. Make sure to trim only the white part of the nail! Cutting the nail too short can be painful. And use positive reinforcement and rewards to signify their good behavior. If you have questions, call us at .

Microchipping your pet is a vital step in ensuring their safety and well-being. It provides a permanent form of identification, making it easier for them to be found and returned to you if they ever get lost. Unlike collars, which can come off or be removed, a microchip stays securely embedded beneath their skin. For more information on microchipping, please call us at 613-678-3678.

The temperature inside a car goes up very quickly in the sun. Please plan your car trips carefully to avoid leaving a pet in the car.

It's officially summer, and while we love the sunshine, it’s important to remember that hot weather can be dangerous for our pets.

🚫 Never leave your pet in a parked car, even for a few minutes. On a warm day, the temperature inside a vehicle can soar to deadly levels in just moments—even with the windows cracked. If you see a pet in a hot car in distress, call 911.

Signs of heatstroke in pets include excessive panting or drooling, lethargy or confusion, and rapid heartbeat. If you think your pet has heatstroke, take them to your veterinarian immediately.
