For all those who own pets we have to be diligent in this hot weather. They need access to shade and have water available at all times.
Novice dog obedience classes start tomorrow Tuesday May 16th at 7 pm.

There is at still room in my Novice Dog Obedience classes on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm. 6 weeks for $150. Dogs learn basic commands like Sit Down Stand and Come. They learn to walk nicely on a leash and how to do Sit and Down stay. Dogs must be fully vaccinated. Contact me at [email protected]

Group lessons finished for 2022. I got to help many owners and their canine companions this year. Private lessons still available. Group classes will resume spring 2023. Will try to take more pics next year. Remember to keep your pets warm in this cold weather.

What does a pet owner achieve from training your dog? The following things are worked on in Puppy or Novice Level 1 classes are:
1. Walk nicely on a leash
2. Come when called
3. Stay in Position
These lessons can help with common problems such as jumping on people Barking when it appropriate

Another great weekend with Ava and Elexa In Saskatoon obedience trials. Ava completed her Pre Novice title and Elexa her CDX with great scores. Blaze qualified two times in Master Rally at the NACA show. He got a perfect score of 100 on the Sunday for a High in Class. Not bad for a dog that is almost 12 years old and a handler hardly able to walk due to a blown knee. he is such a wonderful dog. He knew I was hurting so seemed to try even harder. Thank you NACA for putting on a great show and for Jan Leach for being our judge on Sunday. Blaze needs one more qualifying score to earn his Master Rally title.

It’s spring time to groom your dog. All dogs need their winter coat brushed out. Remember that even your outdoor dogs need a spring comb out and a bath.

Spring classes finally starting Tuesday May 17th. puppy Kindergarten 630 pm Novice Level 1 730 pm.
Dogs must be vaccinated against Distemper Parvo and Rabies. Kennel cough vaccine also suggested.

Isn't January fun!!! weather has been -36 and then 1 day later it rains. Makes it fun to train our canine companions. Train when you can remembering that a lot of skills can be done in your home. Stays are a create exercise to practice indoors as are recalls and change of positions. How many days until spring?

We are into a New Year 2022 here we come. 2021 was a great year for my dogs. I always set goals each year for my dogs and their training. In 2021 Paris completed her Obedience Trial Championship so she is now Ch and OT Champion Kavon's Creme Brule RN (this involved 2 years of training due to Covid cancelling many shows) Elexa earned her Companion Dog Title with a High in Trial in one weekend at Prince Albert trials in late Nov. Her titles are GCH Kavon's Special Edition CD Ava (our Covid puppy ) Ch. Sheeps's Kin Affairs of the Heart is a black Australian Shepherd completed her CKC Championship in 3 weekends. Goals for 2022 include a CDX for Elexa, Ava will continue her training and perhaps try Novice Rally and ASCA confirmation shows. There are also two golden puppies that have not been in the ring yet. Switch and Venus I was fortunate enough to help several people train their dogs during 2021. We did obedience and agility classes and met a lot of dogs that people added to their families during Covid.
I look forward to helping more families with their dogs training.

Ava is now Champion Sheep's Kin Affairs of the Heart. She finished her championship in fine style at 3 shows. I showed her at EKC Trina Neil showed her at Saskatoon and I finished her at NACA in Edmonton on the weekend. She continues to amuse us and steal our hearts with her antics and endless energy. Watch for her in the performance ring next.

We are having a break from the heat. My puppies love walking in the tall grass. Classes continue Agility on Monday evenings. Obedience classes during the day or evenings on Tuesdays. Stay cool with your canine companions.
