Here it is Summer is gone! The nights are cooler, the days are shorter and school is back in session. Hopefully, the fire situation will improve rapidly thanks to the change in weather and the tireless efforts of men and women working on the Frontline. Thank you all!

It has been three long and fun weeks since my return from the upgrading course in Thailand. It is fabulous to see these fur-babies and their owners.
Slowly, everyone is getting groomed. The patience shown by everyone is great thank you.
It's now time to think about the upcoming fall season as we are only a few weeks away from a much needed turn in the weather.
In the event a grooming will be required please make ur appointments as soon as you are able. September is nearly fully booked and October and November are filling up fast. In the meantime enjoy the summer weather!✂️😊❤🐶🐕🦮🐕‍🦺🐩

Hi all. It is really good to be back in the shop again. Between jet lag and starting to catch up with all the clients who have so kindly and patiently waited, it has taken time to put this post together.
The pictures show what I was doing for nearly 3 weeks of my "holiday". This was an advanced course in color and grooming offered by Starwood International Arts of Dog Grooming in Bangkok .
The course offered the theory and practical aspects of new grooming techniques and color for both the private owner and also for competition.
It was a very well spent time, also had the opportunity for my son to see where I graduated as a groomer as well as him being able to visit family.
Thank u for your patience , I will make sure that your patience pays off.
As many of you know because of my absence from the shop bookings are in short supply going forward. I have the odd opening in August and early September, but all openings are filling fast right through October as the very busy fall season is approaching. Thank you again for patience while I was away upgrading my skills.✂️😊❤🐶🐕🦮🐕‍🦺🐩

Day 3 of the Training Course was eventful. Playing with colour and trying different things. This has the same feel as a day at the hairdresser , LOL. After a busy week last week with the seminar with groomers from all over the world, it was time to get back in the classroom to learn new techniques in grooming and color. It is an exciting time in this industry. There are new styles, products, colors and advancements. I will be wanting to share these new things with all my clients and to keep improving the quality of my work. It is late March but it is time to plan for the Summer. Mountview Dog Grooming will be closed from June14 to July 14 inclusive.
I will be returning to Starwood Arts of Dog Grooming School (Thailand) to take a course for Advanced Grooming during this period. This course will allow me to offer the latest in styles, cuts and techniques for all the furbabies that come in to see me.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Here we are again the Autumn is here and the weather is getting cooler. These pups have come in for their fall touch up and winter prep. As always the personalities are as varied as the breeds. Happy to have these cuties at any time.

The heat is still here! At least these pups can face the dog days of summer a little cooler and more comfortable. Even though the weather looks to be hot for the next few weeks it is now time to think about the fall touch ups leading to the colder weather and ultimately Christmas. As times fill up fast at his time of year, if ur pup is getting to the point where it needs some attention , please consider booking ur time now for their autumn groom. It has been a busy Spring and the changes in the pups as they have come in for their Spring cleanups has been remarkable. Hopefully the weather will warm up and these fur babies can show off their new grooms without freezing their tails off. As we are halfway through Spring and looking towards Summer, it is time to look at appointments for Summer touch ups or a regular groom. Mountview Dog Grooming will be closed for a Summer vacation starting July 8 and reopening again August 8. There are still some openings between now and July 7 and August is starting to fill up already. Please IM , text or give us a call if you would like to have your pup cleaned up before July 7. Happy, happy, happy now that these pups have had a good cleanup after a long winter. Matts from the snow, mud from the yard, and dead hair from a long winter are now just a memory! Great looking pups from the last few weeks all looking forward to warmer weather and the freedom to run and play outside.....once the rain stops! With the changing weather the busy season is now well underway, if your fur baby is nearly due for it's Spring tune up, now is the time to make your appointment as March is nearly full and bookings are also being made into April. And they are back. The Biggies gave been coming to the shop for a mid winter cleanup. There have been lots of new pups as well as old faithfuls coming in. Very happy to make new friends and catch up with clients after the Holiday break and the wintery weather that we had in January. Looking forward to the change in seasons coming soon. Welcome to 2022, let's hope that the coming year brings happiness and good health to all despite the ongoing issues with Covid.
Mountview Dog Grooming looks forward to seeing all our old friends as well as welcoming new customers and new residents to the area.
We would like to ensure that everyone is aware that we follow all Health Protocols as required by the B C Ministry of Health.
On a different note we regret to advise that as a result of a significant increase in daily operating expenses, Mountview Dog Grooming is forced to increase its base rates by $10 per full groom. For example , a small dog Full Groom with cut and style, will increase from $50 to $60. De matting charges, nails and other basic services will remain unchanged. For a quote on your specific pup please call, text or IM.
We regret being forced to do this but to keep providing the level of 1 on 1 service that our customers have come to expect, we feel compelled to do so.

The Biggies are back! It is that time again. The bigger pups r in for the fall clean up and haircut as the prepare for the coming winter. It has been another interesting month leading up to Halloween and the first week of November. It appears that it will stay interesting and very busy the closer we get to Christmas. Halloween has come and gone, hope all had a spooky good time and enjoyed all the little visitors at your door. Before turning our attention to Xmas here is a collection of some of our spooky little visitors that came to the shop for a fluff and puff before heading out for night of tricks and treats. As always these pups brought their unique personalities and quirks, as they get prepped for the colder weather to come.
