HY Country Kennels & Pet Resort offers the finest in individual accommodations. We recently upgraded our HVAC systems to provide the highest quality air and radiant heating to keep your pets happy and comfortable during their stay. For medium and large dogs we have two buildings that offer indoor rooms, one building with covered outdoor runs while the other building offers uncovered outdoor access during the warmer months. For cats, we offer individual rooms, some with window seats and others with perches. We do not use small cages, our smallest rooms are 5x5x8. We have two master suites for families with multiple cats on a first come basis. Cats are cuddled with at least twice daily. HY Country Kennels & Pet Resort has six exercise parks, all are grassed and treed for natural shade. Each of these parks, as well as the entire 10 acres are secured by chain lilnk fencing, which means your pet is free to run and play without restriction of a leash (note: if your pet is a jumper/digger, we may choose to leash walk them to ensure their safety and security during their stay). The dogs are exercised at least 3 times daily at no extra charge. We encourage socializing, however we do understand that not all dogs have the right tools for being social. We guarantee a healthy and sanitary environment for your pet. All buildings have music playing to provide guests with a calming effect. We have a separate building for small and older dogs. Medications prescribed for your animals will be administered carefully and as instructed. Our clients bring their own pet’s food and bedding. A special toy and some treats are also good. Please note that new beds made of foam or other unwashable materials are discouraged. Hy Country Kennels & Pet Resort offers special rates for families which board more than one pet. Our rates apply to number of “days” your pet(s) stay with us. This means you can drop your pet(s) off during our evening hours and you will not be billed for that day. The same applies for check-outs prior to 11 am, no charge for that day. (To qualify for both the free evening and free morning, your pets stay must be a minimum of 2 days). Check-out is between 9 - 11 am or another day of boarding will be applied. Hours Of Business
We are open for pick-ups and drop-offs between the hours of (9:00 am to 11:00 am) and (4:00 pm to 6:00 pm) every day. We are closed to the public for December 25 and January 1. Should you require our services outside of these times, special arrangements can be requested and every effort will be made to accommodate your needs. Daycare Service
Our Daycare hours start at 8:00 am. Our daycare service is in its 10th year of operation and still going strong. We have an excellent group of “regulars” which visit between 3 and 5 days per week. Our daycare service consists of plenty of socializing, exercise and free time. Quiet times are encouraged and usually welcomed. Personality, physical conditioning, activity level, likes and dislikes all play a role in designing the activities for each pets' daily schedule. All pets must be up to date with vaccinations and be altered. We limit the number of Daycare guests to 12 dogs per day. The dogs enjoy a heated/cooled indoor room for lounging and free access to a 1 acre park just for them, complete with a play house and climbing tires. During sever heat conditions we provide wading pools to keep them cool and often turn on sprinklers for them to play in. We offer Daycare Discount Cards which can be purchased at our office. We recommend that you drop your dog off in the morning if possible as this will give your dog time to get adjusted to his new surroundings before bedtime. We also suggest that your dog doesn't eat a big meal immediately before being dropped off as this may cause stomach upset. We also encourage pet owners to take their dog for a long walk prior to dropping off as it will keep your dog in a calmer state of mind which makes the process better for the pet and the owner.
