Did you know Dobermans were made for collecting taxes? It’s true!

Doberman are a mix of many different breeds but their exact lineage is largely unknown.

They were bred by Louis Doberman, a tax collector and dog breeder in Germany.

Since most people weren’t the most welcoming when the tax collector arrived, he hoped having a confident looking dog, like the Doberman. Would make people more inclined to pay their taxes right then and there!

Early sunsets and cooler weather can make going outside less appealing during the Winter months.
Here are some ideas of how to keep your dogs entertained during the dark season. ☃️

❄️Have a treat hunt:
Put your dog in another room and hide treats around the space. Your dog may need some guidance the first few times you try this so be sure to put the treats in easier spots and slowly increase the difficulty as your dog becomes more confident.

❄️Try puzzles:
Puzzles are a great way to make meal time into a mental challenge or to make them work a little harder for their treats. While there are many awesome puzzle options online you can also DIY lots of puzzles at home like placing treats into a towel and rolling it up and into a spiral.

❄️Play find the toy:
Find the toy is another great option and training exercise to keep your dog entertained and can be done time and time again throughout the day.
