Dr. Royston is a veterinary house call practitioner who enjoys building a strong rapport with her clients. Through communication and education, works with pet owners in a holistic approach that includes preventive medicine. In the context of a house call, Dr. Royston can better appreciate your pet's environment, diet and family dynamics. Many pets, especially cats, are much more relaxed in their h

ome environment. This benefits not only the animals and their owners, but also the veterinarian as she assesses your pet's health. Serving the North Okanagan Shuswap area including Vernon, Coldstream, Lumby, Armstrong, Enderby, Falkland and Salmon Arm. House calls are possible for areas outside those listed but please be aware that travel costs will be greater.

It is with a lot of sadness and love that I need to report the passing of the cutest and most ‘special’ cat, my Koala. She came into my life after being dumped at the Kamloops SPCA July 2 2013 as a few weeks old kitty and was severely dehydrated. She had some seizures and got her name by spending the first few days in my scrub pocket. She did have some lasting effects from her start but she was always a very loving cat and was the best sister she could be. She was the best eater as she loved wet food and would finish everyone else’s and the best sleeper as she could even sleep standing up. She had some seizures a few months ago that seemed to get controlled with medication but last week they came back and got much worse and so on July 13 I had to make the difficult decision to take away her struggle. She will be missed so much but hopefully she is with her sisters Runty and Arrow who she loved. RIP baby bear

It is with great sadness and lots of tears that I report I lost my adorable, loving and so frickin cute cat Runty yesterday. She was diagnosed with a congenital heart issue in 2024 and had been doing well but things turned very suddenly for the worst. Thank you so much to Dr Janine at Larch Vet for your help, it was very appreciated. Runty is back with her sister Arrow who passed 3 years ago. RIP Oct 31 2013-Feb 7 2026.

**I will be closed December 20-January 4**

I wasn’t able to post earlier about the sad loss of Jane Goodall so I thought it would be a good time to remember as we wind down 2025. I was fortunate enough to see and hear her speak in 2023 and she was so inspiring and hopeful. I think we all need some hope and inspiration to treat everyone, including animals and ourselves with kindness and compassion and to try to be the change we want to see even if it’s small change, it all makes a positive difference. I wish you and your furry family a happy holiday season
