Well I got a fine howdy do this morning when I went in to feed the crew. All the kittens were running around the room. They climbed out of playpen overnight. I guess that is my signal that my workload has just increased.

Daria's litter has completed their fel d1 collections and lab should have them tomorrow.

Boys will be neutered on Thursday. Blossom will be going to a breeder and Darius the black smoke is staying with me as a pet.

Hitrect Iz Odessei aka Hero
February 15, 2009 - August 2, 2024

I said goodbye today to my sweet Hero. He was diagnosed with chest cancer that was affecting his breathing. He will be missed by all those who were touched by this special cat.

Hero spent his life helping, nurturing and taking care of people and other animals.
From the beginning, it was his special looks and personality that warmed the judges' hearts in the show ring for CCA-AFC. He earned his Master Grand Premier title. He continued to attend shows to calm kittens and new cats as they learned what to do.

At home he excelled at helping out the Queen's with their litters. He would relieve them when they needed a break.
He also was very good at being with the older kittens and teaching them how to behave.

At a year old he was chosen by Purina to be featured on the bags of Purina One for Hairballs. Quite the little celebrity.

Until recently, his favourite resting place was on my lap or beside me in bed when I was not feeling well.

At 6 years old, he was certified by Therapeutic Paws of Canada, as a therapy cat. This was the job he seemed like best. For 5 years he served seniors in Long Term Care homes and bringing smiles to many faces. In the 5 years he completed approximately 600 hours of service visiting 3 homes in the Port Hope/Cobourg area.

Four the past 4 years, he has been retired and enjoying the quiet life of a pet.

Rest in Peace my sweet boy. You are my heart kitty and will always be in my heart. Run free over the Rainbow Bridge. Make new friends and we will meet again.

Autumn delivered her first litter through the night.she had 6 little beauties. She decided to play hide and seek with me by having them in a total of 5 different places. When I heard a cry I went searching for a kitten. All are well this morning. She is not comfortable being with the kittens unless she sits on my lap. For now, I will hand feed and hope her mothering instincts kick in soon.

I am pleased to introduce Sibericat Siberians new male for breeding. Bolshoydom Golden Boy came from BC today. His first mating will be our little Kiara (Rue) who is being fostered by a good friend.

Both are Golden and I anticipate having some beautiful kittens from them.

My new girl Autumn is 1 year old today. She has settled in nicely and is waiting patiently for her first litter due July 20th.

Good news for everyone waiting for fel d1 results. Samples finally made it through customs and were delivered to lab this morning. If all goes well, I hope we will have results by next Wednesday.

A friend breeder of Siberians is looking to place a 6 month old male kitten in a home as a special needs kitty.

He doesn't need any money put into him treatment or medicines wise. {except to be neutered} He had a problem with constipation when he was tiny but not now. He has 1 undecended testical that the vets are waiting to see if it decends. Three vets said give him a year and that he may not even have a 2nd testicle. He is a Seal Smoke Point and has a fantastic cuddly personality!

This breeder does not test for fel d1 so there should be no allergic people in the home.

For those waiting for fel d1 results for Tazanna's litter, the samples have been held up at the border. I have done all the extra paperwork asked for this week. Hoping all is good now and delivery will proceed tomorrow. I will keep you informed.

Saliva samples sent off to lab today for Tazanna's litter. She has 3 females and 2 males. All kittens will be placed ftom waitlists.

Results should be in by next Friday. Good luck to all those who have been waiting so long.

Daria's kittens are now 8 days old and 2 have their eyes open. They are very quiet babies.

Introducing Daria's first litter. She was a pro once labour started. As long as I stayed with her, she was relaxed and confident. Don't know genders yet but we have 2 Nevas and 3 Traditionals. Looks like Traditional are silvers like Mom and Dad. Will have to wait to see how the Nevas turn out. All were good weights and are nursing well.

Count down has started. Daria is due in 5 days. She has been setup in "nursery", my room. Birthing box ready and playpen ready when kittens are here. Her belly is continuing to grow. She is doing a lot of grooming, eating and sleeping now. She is up on bed with me right now.

Good news everyone who is waiting for a kitten, 3rd fel d1 samples collected today. Just one more step - spay/neuters will be done May 24th. Only 3 kittens of the 4 from Gigi will be placed this time. I am keeping the golden girl for breeding.

Daria is due next Wednesday. If we are lucky we will have a large litter. One of her kittens has been reserved by a breeder.

Daria is showing her pregnancy now. Her sides are bulging. She is more cuddly as well. Due date is May 22. About 3 weeks to go.
