Meet Panda, Wispr's new big little brother. He is about 18 weeks old, and weighs just over 35 pounds. He has already learned almost a dozen cues. He will be trained to be my service dog.

Our hearts are very sad today, our son and Wispr's brother Noah peacefully crossed the rainbow Bridge today. Ian, Wispr and I were with him, the doctor was very kind and supportive, he passed resting his chin on my left foot. Heart issues, came on quite suddenly. At first we thought it was the hot weather causing him to lose energy. He was amazing his whole life and for the last three years willingly and enthusiastically worked as my service dog. Noah was nine years old, far too young, but ever so loved and cherished. He will be privately cremated and his ashes returned to us.

So Tikaani having lived feral prior to the shelter is like a 12-14 week old pup even though he 6 months old. Today is one week since he came to live with us. He is doing well and is very smart. Just immature for his age.

We have some exciting news. It's a boy! Many of you, if you had sessions at Middle Earth Canine Academy will have heard me talk about
our dogs Noah and Wispr. Well it is now time to bring a little brother into our family. He is a Huskey / Malamute mix. About 5 1/2 months of age. We will be picking him up on Saturday May 20th. He is a rescue, and we will be gifting him the name Tikaani, which means wolf warrior. He has had some struggles in his young life but we are so excited to welcome him into our family. Check out those amazing ears. I hope you are all doing well.

“Bandit saved my life around 4 am this morning, he woke me up (I don’t know how long he may have been trying to wake me) and I couldn’t get up and I was really sweaty and weak.

I asked him to get my meter and he did, my blood sugar was at 30 (this is very dangerous and can cause diabetic coma, if he didn’t wake me up I may have not woken up again).

I asked Bandit to get me juice so he did. Then I was able to get up to get more to eat. I love this dog!!”

Oreo had just passed away the night before . I took Mungo out after work for a hike to enjoy the beautiful Autumn day. My mind was consumed with grief and overwhelmed with the pain of Oreo's passing. I stopped to sit, take in the peace and collect myself and thoughts.
As we sat there listening to the movement of the breeze and noise of the birds, I noticed Mungo looking up. He has never done this and he's never done it since, but at that moment, he was looking up for a good five minutes. I snapped this picture because at that moment, I do believe his brother was with us, comforting us and letting his brother know he was ok and still near.......❤️🐾❤️

Yesterday I was visiting my son's school
I see a bright colored bench in the yard. I asked if this was the only place to sit.
- And he said to me, ′′ No, that's the bench of friends. When someone is lonely or can't find a play partner, they'll sit there and others invite them to play with them."
- I tell him I thought this was great, and I asked him if he used it himself?
- He says: ′′ Yes at the beginning of the year when I was new here.
I sat there and another student came to invite me to play with him. This made me happy. And now when I see someone sitting there, I also invite them to play."
Great idea on mutual aid and kindness to implement in all playgrounds!

Remembering Captain John 'Wild Bill' Crump and 'Jeep', the only coyote who flew in combat during WWII.
After graduating from high school, Bill joined the USAAF and prepared to fight for his country. One day, during his pilot training, he found a little coyote, which he named 'Jeep', and the pair became inseparable.
When war broke out, Bill couldn't wait to go overseas and confront the forces of tyranny…but not without his four-legged friend, so he smuggled Jeep aboard the RMS Queen Elizabeth and they both went to England.
The coyote became a formal member of the 356th Fighter Group, had his own dog tags, and accompanied Bill on five combat missions. Sadly, on October 28, 1944, Jeep was run over by a military vehicle at Playford Hall, Ipswich, and died of his injuries. He was buried with full military honours at Playford Hall, where a plaque marks his resting place.
To honour the memory of his faithful friend, Bill decorated his P-51 Mustang (named Jackie) with a portrait of Jeep. He then flew 77 missions, risked his life to liberate Europe, and managed to survive the rest of the war.
Lest we forget 🌺

Few animals show as much affection and loyalty as dogs.

09/19/2022

If I passed before my dog(s), I would ask for permission to return just to say goodbye; to let my dog(s) know that God called me, and that I didn't abandon them.

I would tell them I want them to take care of themself (and each other), and that in the meantime, I'll be waiting for them.

I would give them one last kiss, one last hug, and tell them that they are the best things that have ever happened to me. That I have loved each with all my heart & I've loved them the most.

If I pass first, give me permission to tell them that. And especially to tell them that when we finally meet again, it will be forever.

My dear human, I see you crying, because it's time for me to leave.
Please don't cry.
I want to explain some things to you.
You're sad that I'm gone, but I'm glad to have met you.
How many dogs like me d-i-e every day without having met someone special like you?.
I know you are saddened by my departure, but I had to leave now.
I want to ask you not to blame yourself.
I heard you sobbing that you should have done something more for me. Don't say that, you've done a lot for me!
Without you, I would have known nothing of the beauty I carry with me today.
You must know that we animals live intensely in the present. Our lives begin when we know love, the same love you gave me, my wingless angel.
Please don't cry anymore. I leave happy.
I remember the name you gave me, the warmth of your house which at that time became mine. I hear the sound of his voice talking to me, even if I don't always understand what he is saying to me.
I carry in my heart every caress you gave me.
Wash your face and start smiling. There are many like me waiting for someone like you.
Please give them what you gave me, they need it like I needed you. ❤
