Chris and Rob have had a passion for pets for the greater part of their lives and are committed to providing holistic pet care. It was an experience with one of their dogs that led them to opening the Bone & Biscuit Co. Rubi was a street dog from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and it was love at first site. She was fine albeit thin and recovering from her life on the harsh streets of Mexico when she beca

me extremely ill with intestinal issues shortly after landing in Canada. She was vomiting blood and lost half her weight. Rubi had no energy and spent her day asleep on the couch. After several traditional attempts to cure her and thousands of dollars of tests, there was no clear diagnosis. She was placed on a broad-spectrum steroid that the vet told them she would be on for the rest of her life. As the side effects of this treatment are numerous they knew there was a better way. Chris spent many hours researching holistic pet care options and nutrition and weened Rubi off the steroids. It was during this research period that Chris and Rob discovered the Bone & Biscuit Co. A company focused on natural pet nutrition and an approach that enabled Rubi’s health recovery back to a happy thriving dog. Chris & Rob opened The Bone & Biscuit Co. in the Uptown Mall next to Whole Foods. Their store is at a crossroads between Saanich and Greater Victoria and surrounded by many communities such as Tillicum, Burnside, Oaklands, Quadra, View Royal and more. The store is a locally owned and operated natural pet food and supply store primarily focused on pet nutrition and holistic solutions to pet health issues. Chris and Rob are huge supporters of the community in Victoria and have created partnerships with pet welfare organizations and local charities. They welcome all Victoria and area pet lovers into the store and are happy to have discussions and provide education and information on pet nutrition and holistic pet care options. Victoria, they carry high quality supplements, remedies, grooming products, quality dog/cat toys and accessories (including a large selection of Ruff Wear) and a fantastic dog bakery with birthday bones and other items.

Cora (yorkie) and Sophie (large mix) came in with their mum yesterday! Cora just joined the family and Sophie found her!

While out on a walk, Sophie started pulling towards Cora, which was out of character for her. It turned out that Cora was looking for a new home and Sophie knew it had to be with them!
