Today five BC real estate organizations including the BC Notaries Association submitted anti-money laundering recommendations to government.
BC Notaries has committed to lend notary expertise to this collaboration with other real estate professionals and government to address the impact of money laundering. Notaries undertake the majority of resident real estate conveyancing in the province, and are fully compliant with FINTRAC rules for the detection, prevention and deterrence of money laundering.

I can’t agree more! And to add to that, don’t put off doing your will (or updating an older one) any longer! Make it a priority to have your will done. You’ll feel so much better and YOUR wishes will be heard and adhered to giving you and your family peace of mind.
