Meet Me Monday - S’mores and Biscuit

S’mores and Biscuit have recently come into care from a kind human who rescued them. S’mores human could no longer afford to feed her so she went nearly two weeks without food before this person rescued her and the option for Biscuit was either take her or she would be euthanized 🙁

We hate to hear stories like that but we are so thankful that they ended up in the care of someone who was looking out for them.

So for the fellow reptile enthusiasts who have been waiting in the wings while all of the cats and small animals have been posted. This one is for you 😉

S’mores is small is a young adult - approximately 2-4 years old. We will be looking into her MBD diagnosis that came with her. She seems to get around well. Her favourite food is horned worms and she is a picky eater so we’ll be buying lots of horn worms in the next little bit…

Biscuit is still tiny and quite adorable. She has attitude to spare! She is very responsive and loves to go everywhere with you. She will eat anything and everything, and since she is a growing beardie that’s great! Her age is estimated under a year. She is missing some toes.

These two have been well taken care of in their temporary home and will continue to be spoiled in foster care. If you are interested in adopting a bearded dragon, please reach out for more information since we don’t have an application form for bearded dragons yet!

Adoptable Cannoli

Cannoli is living the DREAM in her foster home. She is one of the 5 bunnies that came into care on New Years Day after being dumped in a park. Our guess is that she is a young adult (1-2 years) and has the characteristics of a lion head. She is the perfect size and fluffiness 🥰

Her siblings are still looking for fosters!

Did you know that male guinea pigs tend to bond more easily to their humans?

There's a lot of misinformation out there, so Cooper and Jack-Jack wanted to clear the air. Male guinea pigs make wonderful additions to the home, they'll be your best friend in no time!
These boys have been in care for far too long. While their foster mama loves to spoil them and watch them Zoom around the room, they're ready to find their furever home and new cuddle team!

For our friends out in Sooke, we also have two sweetheart boys at Sooke Bosley’s; King Julien and Maurice. The staff have been taking such amazing care of them and they are ready to meet their very own humans!

Prayers for Miss Rosie today. She is at trianglemountainvet having a mass removed on her poor little damaged ears. They are going to do a full check up while she’s under sedation to ease the stress for this beautiful sanctuary favourite.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to one of our sanctuary cats, Whisper. Whisper joined our sanctuary as a three legged barn cat last year. She loved gentle scratches (by her trusted volunteers) and her fireplace. She was a lovely kitty.

Unfortunately this morning she had a medical emergency and we helped her cross the rainbow bridge.

Run free sweet girl.

You will be missed.

Adoptable Miss Molly…

Just arrived yesterday at Bosley's Eagle Creek! Her babies were just adopted a few weeks ago from Burnside Bosleys (Percy, Annie, Clarabel and TJ). While we think her babies are lovely, that was Molly’s SIXTH and FINAL litter.

At just 4 years old, that is way too many babies (about 6 litters too many IMO). She has now been fixed, vaccinated and has had some time to get spoiled post-spay. She is ready for her furever home! We know she has lived with other cats but has not been dog tested. She is very affectionate and would be great for someone looking for an adult cat who is still playful but also knows when to enjoy a snuggle on the couch.

Ernie has a toothache and is going to need a dental. Unfortunately his employer does not offer dental benefits so he needs some help. Can you spare a little?

Charlie’s Angels have graduated to daytime playtime and nighttime safety of the cage. These guys are very well adjusted kittens and all but Sabrina will be available for adoption mid December.
