Here at Paws on Cook, we receive so much love from our community. So we have decided to highlight some of the great organizations that we work with to give back!

This basket will be available at the 2025 Victoria Brain Injury Society Gala, "An Evening of Black and White… Because Gray Matters." Join them for an evening of live entertainment, local cuisine, and auctions to support their youth programs.

The Victoria Brain Injury Society's mission is to "assist head injury victims and their relatives, in their recovery and restoration to the best level of love, dignity, and ability in living."

We are so excited to support such a great cause. Thank you to the VBIS for all the amazing work you do!

February 8TH 2025 is a special day here at Paws on Cook as it marks 5 YEARS of having Connie on our team!

Connie joined us just as the pandemic started back in 2020, and she brought her huge heart and community spirit right from the start! Connie has gained a wealth of product knowledge, become a Fear Free Certified provided of grooming care including nail trims and baths for short coat dogs, led a Paws team of runners through the TC10K for several years, and now is our Team Lead of Operations here at Paws on Cook.

Another year, another license! Don't forget to come down and renew before February 28th to avoid a 10$ late fee. All dogs over the age of four months must be licensed.

Did you know if your dog has been neutered or spayed in the last 12 months you will receive this year's license for free? Just remember to bring documentation when you come into the store. Service dogs also receive a free license! Otherwise, licenses cost $30 for spayed or neutered animals, and $40 if unaltered.

UPDATE: we’re up and running at 440pm!
UPDATE: our power remains out as of 315pm
UPDATE: power out as of noon and we are temporarily closed!

On Monday January 20th we'll need to close temporarily during the day while BC Hydro replaces a power pole.

Sometime between 930am and 4pm we'll lose power, at which point we'll close until the power returns!

If you have an essential visit to the store on Monday January 20, please come before 930am or after 4pm!
