Located near Prospect Lake, Woofability is Victoria’s premier enrichment-based dog boarding and daycare facility that caters to the needs of both owners and dogs alike. We specialize in implementing education into playtime. By doing so, we crea

From a fully fenced yard with locking gates, to safety gates at all exterior doors in our home, we are committed to providing a safe atmosphere for your furry friend. On top of our enhanced safety protocols, all staff members are highly trained in dog safety & body language. In addition, they are also all certified in Pet First Aid, have been criminal record checked and are insured. Our in-home boarding facility is designed to make your dog feel like they never left home. In fact, your dog’s vacation may be better than yours! The Woofability team knows how important your pup is to your family. We do everything that we can to make our guests feel like they are at home by providing a relaxed yet fun environment. At Woofability, small play groups are an important part of our program! 🐶🐾

We always provide a fun and safe play environment for your furry friends. But small playgroups allow us to make it an even more focused experience while adding in additional activities 💫

▪️Smaller playgroups that allow for a higher quality of play for shorter periods of time. Smaller playgroups provide a more controlled and individualized experience for each dog 🐕

▪️More rest breaks for the dogs which allows them to get the quality rest they need to be emotionally healthy. Dogs, just like people, need time to recharge after physical activity to remain emotionally balanced. These breaks allow dogs to cool down, relax, and process the experiences of the day 💤

▪️Individual activities/play sessions based on the dog’s needs and desires. Every dog is unique in terms of their energy levels, temperament, and preferences. Tailoring activities to the specific dog’s needs ensures they’re mentally stimulated in ways that suit their personality 🐾

▪️More focused basic obedience allows more one-on-one attention and focused training. Consistent, positive reinforcement helps dogs understand what’s expected of them and enhances their relationship with their human companions 🌟

Dogs thrive when they have a balance of exercise, mental stimulation, and socialization. Just like us, they need a mix of activities to keep their minds sharp and their bodies healthy. Overloading them with too much physical exercise can lead to exhaustion, while too much mental work can cause frustration. That’s why we incorporate a balanced approach into every daycare session. 🌟

We provide structured activities, such as training games, tricks, and quiet time activities which are far more fun and engaging than just monitoring a large group of dogs. Dogs are provided with a variety of physical, cognitive, social and sensory activities throughout the day! 🐾

Did you know that basic everyday commands are also great enrichment activities? Sit, Stay, Down, and Come are simple commands that we work into our everyday fun at the enrichment academy! 🐾

These commands provide dogs with clear boundaries, and gives them consistent commands with a consistent response. These commands become easy even with distraction and can be used to redirect dogs who may need to reset their behavior. 🐶

Making a difference for the dog and their humans is why we love what we do so much. Thank you for this amazing feedback and we couldn’t be happier for you and sadie! 💜💕”I just want to let you know how Sadie is doing after her boot camp , I mean Board and Train ;). I also want to send a huge thanks to everyone that contributed to her learning, and mine :) Sadie is transformed in so many ways. Her recall has improved to near perfection! We will continue to be consistent with this so it keeps getting stronger. Her barking is minimal, and when it occurs, she is very quickly and easily redirected with a “leave it” both in the yard and in the house. I was not sure how well she would generalize the learning to the indoors, but we are amazed by the change, and the quiet!! Her impulse control gets better every day. Today she was in my office, lying down but alert. I told her to stay, and I left the room, went to another part of the house, went to the kitchen to pick up a couple of treats, and back to the office. When she heard me get the treats out of the cupboard, she sat up but remained in place until I came all the way back to her. She got big treats for that. Finally, an unexpected improvement: overall, she is a much calmer dog in the house! She seems comforted to know that when people come and go or other things occur, she does not need to alert or protect us, she can just come to us and get a treat. She spends a lot more time calmly lying down and relaxing, not pacing around looking for things to fuss about. This is beyond expectations!”🐾💕#dogtraining #happydogs

Our Story

Welcome to Woofability! At Woofability, dogs can stay in a comfortable, Your dogs will be allowed to snooze on the couches, socialize in the choice of three purpose built yards, or lounge in front of the fire. Daily adventure hikes can be provided, with your permission, upon our nearly 20 acres of pristine wooded property. In the summer we have a pool, misters and a bubble machine and in the winter heated floors and fireplace to make sure your dog is comfortable no mater the weather. We accept all breeds, and all age ranges, although puppies must be four months of age or older. Seniors and special needs welcome! We are comfortable with administering medications as required. Rest assured that your dog’s safety is one of our highest priorities! We have a fully fenced yards with locking gates, and safety gates at all exterior doors in our home. We have three responsible adults offering a combined total of over 20 years of dog-related experience. We are certified in Pet First Aid, have been criminal record-checked and are insured. If you are unable to bring your own kennel, and they are accustomed to sleeping in one, we have several on site that can be provided for your pet. However, we strongly recommend providing a blanket or towel from home with a familiar scent on it for their comfort. Photos and video updates are provided to you via email, or texted to your mobile phone while you’re away so that you can see just how much your dog is enjoying their stay. Don’t have a car? Or just want to save time before you head out on your trip? We can provide transportation to and from your home for an additional fee. Please email us with your contact number and questions so that we can arrange to call you and discuss details of your pet’s individual needs. At Woofability, we want your dog to feel like they never left home. In fact, your dog’s vacation may be better than yours! We’ll be hounding around ‘til you’re homeward bound!
