Every day with them was a promise kept: that her later years would be her very best, wrapped in joy, tenderness, and belonging. “We rescued Layla from a no-kill shelter where she had lived for two years. Due to health issues and being a Pit Bull she was overlooked time and again. We brought her home and soon learned that she loved zoomies around the backyard. She rolled on her back in the grass, soaked up the sun, and dug in the dirt. She covered my husband’s bald head with kisses. She would give us the stink eye if we stayed in bed too long. She loved to go for a walk, until she didn’t want to walk any further, usually as far from the house as possible because she was a goofy girl who liked it when she got a ride home. She was sweet and gentle. She will always be loved and greatly missed.”❤️❤️❤️

“Ginny was beyond loyal to her people and her furry siblings. She lived life with spunky energy, loving every walk in the forest, hike on the mountain, swim in the lake or ocean, and roll-about in the beach sand. Every day was special with Ginny, regardless of what was on the schedule. When she heard us wake up, she would jump into the bed for morning cuddles, then excitedly roll around in the blankets when we got up.

She taught us many valuable lessons about love, loyalty, and living every day to the fullest. If she had a motto, it would be:

Sweet Tiny, a small cat with a heart far bigger than his tiny frame. Intuitive and snuggly, with a love for licking butter, Tiny had a way of knowing exactly when a cuddle was needed - his presence was comfort, joy, and laughter all rolled into one. Every person who met him felt his warmth, and every day spent with him was a little brighter.

“To know Tiny was to love him - he captured the hearts of every person he met. There was nothing Tiny enjoyed more than cuddles (except maybe sneaking licks of butter), and he would often interrupt my work with his classic “meow-meoooow?” to signal it was time for our lunchtime nap.
Despite his small stature, Tiny had a massive presence. He never hesitated to announce himself when entering a room or demand the pets he knew he deserved.

“Brody was the most gentle, sweet, and special boy. He was such a big part of our family, and filled everyday with unconditional love and cuddles. He was a typical chocolate lab, crazy obsessed with chuck it balls, ocean swims, and food. Meal time was his favourite part of everyday, and whenever he was finished with his dinner he would lay on his favourite part of the couch and snooze the evening away. He loved his favourite beach in Cadboro Bay and saying hi to all the other dogs and people. He was loyal and just loved being with his people. He had the most beautiful blocky head, and big bear feet! Such a handsome fella! He’s left a huge hole in our hearts, and his feline brother and all of us miss him so incredibly much!”

What follows is a reflection from the heart of the person who knew her best, honoring the life, love, and bond they shared.

“Saying goodbye to my beautiful Mia has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. She was my heart cat — the one who truly chose me.
When she came into my life at 13, she was overweight, anxious, and wounded, with patches of fur pulled out and sores from constant licking. She was shy and unsure. With time, patience, and care, she healed — and in the gentlest way, she made her way entirely into my heart.
Mia lived to 20, and every year with her was a gift. She was loyal, soft-spirited, and quietly strong. She trusted me completely and made our home feel whole.
She had her rituals: curling up on fresh laundry the moment it came out of the dryer, claiming the back of the couch as her royal perch, and her unmistakable 5 a.m. meow — not for food, but to demand that I turn on the bathtub tap, her preferred water source.
For a shy kitty, her trust was extraordinary. She let me clip her nails. When kidney disease caught up to her, she accepted subcutaneous fluids calmly and without fuss. She trusted me to care for her right until the very end — and I would have done anything for her.
My heart still aches, but I’m finally able to share just how lucky I was to have known and loved her.

Some souls arrive exactly when they are needed most. Baz came into her forever home later in life, and in doing so, became the very center of her family’s universe. 🌎 She was cherished, adored beyond measure, and given the most beautiful “cat retirement” imaginable - filled with cozy beds, towering cat trees, endless toys, and a constant rhythm of love and cuddles.
Her loving parents stood faithfully by her side through her journey, tending to her with unwavering devotion and around-the-clock care. Every moment of her final years was wrapped in comfort, dignity, and profound love. Though their time together was far too short, the bond they shared was timeless.
Baz was deeply known, endlessly loved, and will always be a part of the home and hearts she so completely filled.

Baz came into our lives late, after living 10 years with other families. She immediately became the center of our world. She loved to snuggle, tear her toys to shreds, and find silly places to hide. Koa was a truly special soul, carrying a quiet wisdom and depth that could be felt by everyone who met her. With her big brown eyes, she had a way of connecting that went far beyond words. She found happiness in life’s simple comforts beside the people she loved most.

On Christmas Day, Koa showed her family one final act of grace, becoming a true Christmas angel. Surrounded by those who adored her, she found peace in the comfort of home, held in love as she gently let go.

The space Koa leaves behind is immense, but so is the love she gave. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her spirit will forever remain woven into the hearts of those who were lucky enough to call her family.

In Loving memory of Jasmine & Lexie ❤️

We are remembering two very special souls today - Jasmine (“Jassy Bear”) and Lexie (“Lou-Lou”). These sweet girls were more than pets; they were companions, protectors, and cherished members of their family, whose love and loyalty left a lasting mark on everyone who knew them.

Jasmine was rescued from the streets of Los Angeles and brought to Canada for a new life. Gentle and nurturing, she became a caregiver and formed an unbreakable bond with Lexie. Lexie, a brave little survivor, also rescued from Los Angeles, became a loyal protector and steadfast companion. Together, they balanced each other perfectly - heart and shield, inseparable, and deeply loved.

Losing them so close together undoubtedly leaves a heartbreak beyond words. Their love, devotion, and joy will always remain in the hearts of those who loved them.

Run free, sweet girls, together again across the rainbow bridge.🐾🌈❤️
