I wanted to take the opportunity to share something with my followers that is close to my heart.

For over 3 years now, I have volunteered with the Red Cedar Cafe. We are a charitable organization in Victoria addressing the food crisis. We run a free food store twice weekly and supply over 65,000 meals annually to members of our community facing food insecurity.

This past year, I was asked to join the board as head of fundraising. I am organizing our first public event called Harvest for Hope. It's a beautiful farm-to-table dining experience at the Merridale Cidery, with live entertainment and a silent auction.

Trigger Warning ⚠️ Maddy's mom found her walking terrified down the road, completely matted beyond recognition (hence her namesake.) It is likely she was used for breeding, neglected and then dumped. When she first came to me she had full blown panick attacks during the grooming process. It was all too much for her. It was at the point that we didn't know if she would be eligible for sedation free grooming. But I refused to give up on her. I knew she was on her healing journey and I was ready to be a part of that. This video is a testament to what 2 years of love and patience can achieve. Maddy is great for grooming now and so happy to be with her loving family 💖 I take great pride in being a groomer that holds space for senior, disabled or dogs needing extra TLC.
