He wants to be someone’s best friend!
7 year old black Dante Weltino/Don Frederico Westfalen gelding. Solid third, schooling fourth level, started working canter pirouettes and 2-tempis.
Incredibly sweet with huge work ethic, no naughty business. Everyone falls in love with him, anybody can ride him. Forward thinking, willing and easy to ride with good sensitivity to the aids. He really wants to be able to trust and connect with his person. Does best with a calm rider that gives him this confidence.

🌟 Island’s Futuro 🌟
Fantastic/Wynton/Darwin/Flemmingh

He’s a handsome and very personable 3 year old gelding, currently standing at 16.3hh. Stunning black horse, total show stopper and real love bug 💖. The canter of this boy is a dream, the trot has beautiful mechanics with a round knee and active hocks. He’ll be so much fun as he’s getting stronger.

He’s forward thinking and well behaved without a mean bone in his body and gives a safe feel for his young age. Futuro is a very smart horse that really connects with his rider and wants to please and trust. Even on a windy day like today with the surrounds getting blown over he still stays mentally with his rider.

He’s lightly started and goes confidently in the arena and on trails with good steering and without any longeing required. He’s still on light playtime 2-4 times a week to just keep the routine up and slowly get him stronger. Good ground manners and easy to handle.

🌟 Island’s Flame - Finnigan/Don Frederico 🌟

Super fun and straight forward ride, sensitive, light and smooth. North American Top mare, scored 9 for all three of her gaits. Relaxed and rhythmic walk with huge overtrack, trot with active hindleg and good mechanics, balanced uphill canter. Big bodied, just under 16.2hh, coming five this month and had time to mature until she was lightly started last fall.
Forward thinking and balanced horse, always under her body, with a tremendous work ethic. Loves people, is kind and smart, always first to come to you in the field, impeccable ground manners, really enjoys to get groomed and have a job.
She’s built for Grand Prix. All the upper level movements will be easy for her. Her older siblings are already successful in sport and breeding: North American Champion and Top 5 mares, a Small Tour horse schooling all GP and a 7 year old schooling PSG. She’s equally talented!
With her level headed attitude she’s a great option for an ambitious, capable AA experienced with greener horses or a pro alike.

WESTFALEN NA inspection and foal registration is going to be back in Victoria again!

If you have a foal to be registered, a mare to be inspected, a stallion to be licensed or a mare to be performance tested with one of the oldest, most prestigious and successful German studbooks, you’re welcome to join us for the Westfalen inspection that will be held at Island Farm again this year.
We’re looking forward to have Otto Schalter from Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch Germany and Ann Daum from the Westfalen NA office back at the farm. Their comments are always very educational and helpful to advance our breeding goals.

The estimated date is end of September/beginning of October. We’ll update, when we have the exact day and time 😃

💜 Premium foal at his inspection with solid 8 for gaits. Supple c**t with lots of swing, elasticity, good mechanics and a really good canter. Out of a very successful direct mare line 💜

We just LOVE our Valverde babies, they’ve got the most unique temperament! This one is the easiest, sweetest, smartest and most confident foal we had. He’s been an ‘old soul’ from day one.

What is also remarkable are the mechanics the sire put on. This is Valinor moving like every day. No need for excessive excitement or showing off, he’s a very confident foal.

He’s correct, with good substance and long legs, expected to finish over 17.hh

We’re convinced Valinor will be very rideable. His his maternal siblings are already highly successful in sport up to FEI and in breeding (NA Champion)!
Sire Valverde (Vitalis/Amper) is decorated with various Champion titles since his licensing, successful at all 3 of his WC for Young Dressage Horses and currently gathering ribbons at GP with his AA rider.

His dam produces one top horse after the next for us. Her oldest progeny is successful at small tour with 7 years of age, schooling Pi/Pa and one tempis with ease, the 6 year old won 2nd level Championships. Another one was awarded North American Champion mare. At the recent inspection one got awarded 9’s for movement at her mare inspection.

Sweet and incredibly handsome 2020 gelding, GP prospect. Yearling gelding that wasn’t marketed as a foal since a testicle hadn’t descended. We wanted to wait until he’s a yearling before gelding him. Your chance to get your hands on a youngster like this.

He’s currently touching 15.3hh and will likely finish around 17hh. His sire Fantastic (by Fürst Romancier) is schooling GP movements and winning at German S level. Crowd favourite wherever he goes. Produces big moving and rideable offspring with the most likeable temperament.
The dam is a very rideable and gentle North American Top 5 mare by Wynton/Darwin/Flemmingh. She’s currently back under saddle and my advanced students love her due to her own engine, smooth movement and extravagant gaits. Generous and kind horse.
His one year older full brother was a North American Top 5 c**t. He himself was mail registered due to COVID, otherwise he’d probably have done well at his own inspection either.

Seriously a super boy! Big, elastic and expressive mover with a very quick and strong hindleg that works under the body. He’ll be nicely sensitive but sensible with the energy and sharpness required for a real GP prospect.
