i was out on a family ice fishing trip. my truck came out of the shop for 4wheel drives issues, we soon found out it was not fixed.
at the end of the night we were all packed up and ready to get back and get some shut eye to carry on with the adventure. soon found out the 4 wheel grenaded and was stuck. we had one of the nicest people around with his wee son ice camping. they helped us out for about 2 hours. we made it safe and sound off the ice.
moral of this short novel, lololol is. be kind to one another when you can in these trying times. i hate saying this because i herd trudeau say it. We are all in this together. help each other out.

quick note, i will be going back to tanning my own wet tans to ensure quality and faster returns.

when this bear came in i thought to myself, it was a nice looking bear. once i started putting it together i noticed very unique markings. the tan mask with tan inner ear hair than the backs of the ears were tan aswell. pretty neat.

its been awhile since i posted anything but oh boy i saved a great mule deer for ya. this particular animal was killed 13 yrs ago and originally was submitted to another taxidermist in Edmonton. after many yrs of wondering and worry this deer found its way to my shop. the original velvet was almost all gone so i had to strip off whatever little pieces were left. than i had to flock artificial on it. this customer asked if he could have his deer rubbing his antlers on a stick partially in rags. i used abit of the old velvet for the rags so it would have some original stuff on it. i was very pleased how this one turned out. enjoy and happy hunting!

last year i took on one of those mammoth size projects. hours and hours of research into traditional materials and meaning of animal poses. after leaving the 2ppcli i never thought id be apart of another military organization. i was asked by a fine officer Major Sean Fletcher from the Calgary Highlander regiment to make new bear skins for the regimental pipes and drum band. I was very nervous and excited to take on this project. Its humbling to know that my work will be worn and used for the next couple hundred yrs of service.
Thank you to the regiment for this opportunity!
