Here are some clips of a saddle I completed over the weekend!! The roughout didn’t come out as clean as I had hoped but due to it experiencing some canola oil previously it was a little more difficult for me.
Some of the steps I had to do in a different order because the fenders were taking so long to dry!! This saddle got a normal cleaning along with a light coat of neatsfoot oil and Skidmores conditioner. I had also sprayed a mixture of vinegar/water on the saddle prior to cleaning to kill the mold spores.
PS: Ignore the overly large camo sandals, they are a must when saddle cleaning 🤣🤣
Cruised Jiggs through a set of barrels just for fun!! I loped through a set the last time about a year ago.
He has a ways to go but it definitely gets me excited for when I do actually start him on the pattern sometime this winter!!
