Why do dogs pant?
➡️ It’s quite simple. Panting is how dogs regulate their body temperature 🤒
Why is it important for dogs to pant?
➡️ When dogs get over heated or hot, they don’t sweat quite like us humans. So panting allows them to cool down.
➡️ If your pet becomes hot and can’t pant, it can be extremely dangerous and even deadly.
‼️ This is a reminder to ensure anything you put on your dog, does not restrict their panting‼️
These items include, but are not limited to:
Halti Head Harnesses
Muzzles
And more.
The devices listed above, if not properly fit, can limit how much a dog opens their mouth, therefore limiting the dog from panting ~ which leads to overheating👏
Please keep and eye on your dog, and know the signs of heat stroke and heat exhaustion🫶🏼

I have a secret to share with you today...🤫
You might not realize it.. but...
‼️Dog trainers' dogs are not perfect‼️
In fact,
What I do know though, is that I understand my dogs.
👉🏻I know what behavior is worth fixing. I know what they need to know to be safe dogs.
👉🏻I know that they are a pleasure to be around because they have "life skills,"

😖 Is your dog making your walks stressful?
😫 Are you avoiding walks with your dog even though you wish you could go out?
😅 Is your dog completely embarrassing you when others walk by with theirs?
Here are 3 things you can do this week to make your walks more enjoyable:
1️⃣ Use a short, non-extendable leash. Often, while flexi leashes give your dog more freedom to explore, they can complicate walks and walking manners.
2️⃣ Turn around! Don't hesitate to change directions or turn around if you see another dog coming your way.
3️⃣ Don't take it personally. Your dog is not barking his head off to annoy or embarrass you. There are many reasons dogs become reactive on leash...
🐶 Maybe they've been attacked and now they're on the offensive.
🐶 Maybe they are frustrated they can't go say hi at-will.
🐶 Maybe they are scared and feel cornered on leash.
🐶 Maybe they've never been taught what to do instead of bark.
💙 Whatever the reason, don't take it personally and please understand you aren't the only one! Soooo many dog owners struggle with this issue. And I help my clients through it often.
