This is one of the hardest posts we’ve ever had to make. Our sweet friend Ace has crossed the rainbow bridge. Ace and his spicy sidekick Jack have been loyal clients for many years. We literally have hundreds of pictures of Ace - most of them are almost identical but each one is precious. Susan still remembers the very first time she groomed Ace. Not quite a puppy anymore but he was still a sweet ball of beautiful fluff. Ace never wanted to be carried - he always wanted to walk on his own 4 legs… but as soon as it was time for grooming (particularly the blow dryer), he didn’t want to use his legs at all! When we ventured off to create TLC Groomery, Ace’s mom was (is)one of our biggest supporters. Ace loved meeting all of the growing TLC team. Everyone knew and loved him. Icey’s daughter Selena collected Ace’s hair from one of his grooms and made a cute keepsake from it. Many of you know that we provide grooming services to some of our amazing local rescues. We were excited to spend time with sweet little Jango this week. He is a young Sheltie/Bichon mix that was surrendered (dumped) by a commercial breeder. He has been lovingly cared for by the amazing team at Hobo Haven Rescue. He came to us for a pampering session so he can look and feel his best. Even though he is “just” a rescue, we use all of our best equipment and products while completing his groom: clipper work done using Heiniger clippers, shampoo and conditioner from Opawz, and scissor work done using Utsumi extreme curved shears. Although he was a little nervous, Jango was a super star for his first professional groom.
